It’s no accident that SLU enjoyed it’s greatest run in the Majerus/Dead era since the 50’s when the roster wasn’t heavily filled with locals. It’s ok to recruit them, but I hope Ford focuses more on the East Coast, the southeast, and overseas.

Same goes for his brother. There’s no doubt in my mind he probably would leave when he sees the dollar signs.

Here’s something that I absolutely guarantee about collegiate sports. If it collapsed today and reverted to what it was in our parents’ and grandparents’ generations with zero scholarships and the games being played by STUDENT athletes, 99% of us would still support SLU athletics. WashU was ahead of the curve ages ago.

This thread is a clear cut example of why the program is not a big attraction among the non-alumni. And this is dangerous considering Lindenwood is now in D1 in a ever growing St. Charles County.
