  1. Per Twitter- Thomas Allen offered by Kansas.
  2. https://www.fanragsports.com/news/mvc-to-hold-emergency-meeting-on-sunday-in-saint-louis/ MVC holding emergency meeting in STL Sunday. ADs looking to deal with WSU departure aftermath according to the article.
  3. It doesn't really impact SLU much, but Groce to Akron looks like a done deal.
  4. I know SLU isn't really involved, but this is incredibly interesting if true. Talk about blowing up.
  5. Just as kind of a rational contribution on a couple fronts here, I'd like to say a few things. As someone from outside of Missouri and a younger SLU fan, I don't have a hatred of Mizzou since it is outside of my line of vision prior to coming to SLU. My stance on Mizzou is one of indifference, I just wish for SLU to be the best team in the state. This qualifier out of the way, let's get to a couple points. Martin to Mizzou is undoubtedly a good hire. The concern with him is complicated from my eyes. His stops at recent school have been brief, and a little underwhelming for the talent he brings in. Yet, what Mizzou needs is an infusion of talents after the mess of the KA era. Bringing talent in is what he does best, it is just a question of how long he sticks around. He seems to always have his eyes on the horizon. Second, Porter to Mizzou is obviously a huge recruiting success, but a rational person can see the one time nature of this event. Contrary to what Jr. has said about not letting his dad decide his fate, this was tied very closely to his father also going back to CoMo. Porter alone does not bring Mizzou to the top of the SEC. Porter alone also does not really move the needle on 2018 guys since in all likelihood he isn't there to play with them. His commitment is a huge deal, but they need talent around him before Tiger fans can talk about a tournament, as some media have been doing. I fully expect Martin to recruit well at Mizzou, similar to what Travis has done here. Long term, I'm still going to say the Bills have a brighter future, as there is an extra year of data to work with regarding Ford.
  6. A couple people on the Dayton forum are tossing around Crean as a candidate FWIW.
  7. Not that it means anything, but Mizzou's crystal ball for Tilmon is up to 67%. I think it is something that won't happen, since walker has been re-signed, but just interesting to see "expert" responses to things like this.
  8. No idea where to put this but similar to the Fordham news, Jaren Sina leaving GW to go pro in Europe.
  9. Interested to see if Ford would try and re-open his recruitment. Now that Zeke is gone, another shooter couldn't hurt.
  10. Jamall Walker reached an agreement to stay with U of I today. http://www.scout.com/college/illinois/story/1765323-walker-retained-assistant-underwood
  11. Granted, videos are made to make a recruit look good, but this is a player I could get behind. As a side thought, he looks like a giant out there compared to the competition.
  12. Aaron can take one and I'll take the other. I'll contribute nothing to the team aside from my undying support.
  13. I'll take the second coming of Michael Jordan and a throw in of LeBron James. I'm sure Zion Williamson would come here then too. (I don't know how to blue font on mobile)
  14. I'd most likely bet that JT stays with U of I. Everything around Mark Smith seems to lead towards U of I, but I wouldn't rule out other schools. Butler is one that might be in play there, as they just picked up a crystal ball prediction on 24/7. Could mean nothing, could mean something. (Once again clarifying that I have no inside knowledge of anything, simply relaying things from twitter from various accounts)
  15. Mike Lewis has given no indication of leaving Duquense in any way, shape, or form. This is an absolutely ridiculous logical leap here.
  16. A couple issues with this scenario. First, Archie is likely not going to leave Dayton this year. He is well compensated at Dayton and has the support of a rabid fanbase where basketball comes first. Second, Kostas would not come here because of a loose connection between someone who happened to go to the same high school as his 5 years prior. That kind of logic just doesn't make much sense.
  17. I'm pretty bummed Zeke is leaving. His shooting the next 3 years could have been a huge asset on this team. Obviously playing time would be harder to come by with how loaded the backcourt is going to be, but still a little surprising.
  18. Fun fact: LSU and VCU both play in Maui next year in a nice intimate environment. Hopefully they are matched up in the first round.
  19. This is an aside but Walker would be perfect for DePaul at some point. An influx of talent is needed there after a long run of questionable coaching decisions.
