Oh, on the contrary, yesterday was the perfect outcome for us gimmick (LOL) folks. We get the two then we get you.. Bunch of really tough teams on your side of the draw. You get a mega hot Dayton and Langston Galloway. I'll take GW and/or UMASS on a neutral floor anytime over those two based on the matchups for us. . Sure hope both of our teams get to the final. It will be epic and both of us will be 4/5 seeds no matter what happens. We're in the top 25 and we're very happy to have earned our way back in. Let's rock the house at Barclay's! I'll be there. Will you?

This isn't even a debate. JJ will be POY. By a long shot. If he could only shoot the 3, he'd be NBA material. I watched yesterday and I knew, UMASS knew and everyone else on the planet knew he was going to the hoop and no one could stop him. Super finish! SLU and VCU 1 and 2 as it should be. Thanks to LaSalle who played a great game and put us in the 2. You guys will likely see LaSalle on Friday. Don't look past them. They are a tough nut to crack when playing well. They can hit the 3 and when they do, they're a bear. We stole ours from them. Was there in the snowstorm and was sure we were going down, except Graham wouldn't allow it to happen. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday for the games eating cheese and drinking wine in the Corporate Box. Can't wait to see all of this great CBB in one of the best venues out there. Yeah, everyone thinks MSG is great, but Barclay's puts it to shame. Just an awesome arena with everything anyone could want.

Prolly my last post of the day. To you BigMouth, I can only give you some :lol: Your posts contain no actual basketball content. Did you just watch that HAVOC? 17 steals? Lot of hungry teams ready for a big night. Very interested to see who's 8/9 seed. Haven't checked it out yet. Gotta look that up. Dayton is playing killer basketball and likely just locked a 6th A10 bid. Stomping Richmond like that is no easy task. Thanks to you guys for getting our 6th in the tourney. That's huge! Nobody wants to play those guys right now. Nobody. I'd rather see us have the 4 seed than the 3 and have to play Dayton. Give us GW anytime. Tell me some more interesting things about BB BigMouth. We have the guy that is going to be the all time steals leader in the HISTORY of the NCAA on our team. We have a freshman PG that's going to be raining 3's for 3 more years. We have a freight train that's only a Jr who has a real shot at taking VCU's all time scoring record (currently held by Eric Maynor-76ers) Trey will be an NBA player because he can drop the long 3 and bang with the 4's. We have 3 4 stars coming in next year and they don't even need to be starters becasue we're already loaded without them. One of them is top 30. 3 are in the top 100. Those kind of players are what makes a program chug along year after year. Oh, and we also have a guy named Troy Daniels (we like to call him Buzz) that is now playing with the Houston Rockets. Hit the first shot he saw in the NBA Wed. A 26 footer. He set an all time D-league season record for 3's this year. You might also remember this guy destroying everyone in the NCAA 3 point challenge in the Spring. That's 3 in the NBA now. Another couple on the way shortly. That's why Shaka likely would turn down the DOOK job too. We paid him, and watched him become one of the best coaches in the country (and he graduates almost all his guys) and the top HS players that he chooses that will fit HIS team are wanting to come. Go the Big East next year. Please. We don't want our RPI messed up having to play SLU. Yeah, like the guys above said "ban them." I've seen name calling, cursing and physical threats on this board. I've seen you eat your own posters and your own team. I've never called anyone a name here or used abusive language. This board comes pretty close to being as bad as Mason's board. What I meant to say is that it is likely that there will be the title shared by 3 teams. Back to Earth with a thud SLU. Take the 1 seed. Any bye seed is just fine not having to play on day 1. Don't mess with Jay & Silent Bob

The question has been answered. Lack of depth is obvious at this point in the season. Your starters need to play lights-out and Rob needs to be nailing 3's to beat good teams. Can't believe this thread was brought back after November. That being said, SLU is still the team to beat and gives the highest bump for the ones that do it. The A10 final is not a lock for anyone. All of the Semi Games will be close to pick ems.

Which of all the teams in there is best conditioned and suited to play 3 days in a row? I say the team where most of the time guys play 30 mins or less. 5 days is plenty of rest for DE and JJ to be ready. They're just banged up a bit. You guys got the 1 seed, so likely you'll be able to play 7 deep without tiring your starters. After that, it gets real tough. Not being able to hit the 3 makes the games much more physical. It wears guys down. We shall see. We're hoping for a 3 seed so we can get another top 50 team in the mix. I see only one team circling the drain right now and it doesn't look good at UMASS. We take care of business vs Bonnie tonight and a loss at UMASS and it's very likely we share the A10 title with you. It could very well be a 3 way share.

Lose that 4th in a row and make an exit before the tourney final and 4-5 won't be in play. No way, no day. Could even fall to the dreaded 7-8 line. Gotta win this one Bills. The NCAA is locked up, but do you really wanna play the 9 or 10 seed and then the 1 or 2 seed? That's no trip to the Sweet 16. I can't believe folks on here are even thinking the thought of resting DE and JJ for this game if they don't have serious injuries. and giving Umass the win and your NCAA seed slot. There is almost a full week to the first A10 game. Let them rest then.

A loss to UMASS and 4 in a row may just put SLU on the 7-8-9 seed line, especially if it continues into the tourney. The games at the end of the season and how you finish are looked at very closely as are the power ratings and RPI. It's starting to look like they are using the formula ratings more and more rather than RPI and the standard polls. Now as for the refs. They always blow calls in every game. It's not a conspiracy. It's reality. It happens in every CBB game ever played. Make your FT's and you win. Miss em you lose. We've had that problem and it cost us several games. Simple as that. Losing 4 in a row blows the 4-5 seed period. Gotta take UMASS and do well in the tourney to keep that 5. 4 is only a possiblity with an A10 tourney win.

I told you all that you didn't have to worry about your ranking. I fully expected 17-18 for SLU.No way you were dropping to 19-20 after a fluke loss and playing us at our place. You've got respect from the pollsters that is well earned. What's really great about this whole thing is the A10 has 3 teams solidly in the top 20 RPI and 5 for sure in the Dance. We'll get in there with you next week. Can't wait for the A10 tourney. Now go take care of those Dayton pretenders.I don't care if they'd be the potential 6th in. Smack em down. You will still be ranked I hope and you should be. The Stu is a brutal place to play. Not getting blown out shows that your squad has their heads in the game. It could easily have been 20 plus, but you never let us romp you. Now, KenPom (which is the most respected of the committee's ratings) took you to 30. The Duke's game was an anomoly, but it you can't shoot 3's that will happen when a team gets hot from 3. That is the kink in your armor. The team I would least see us have to play is St Joes. That Galloway dude can take a game and has done it again and again. He owns us every time we play them. We sure will be happy not to have to face him again. No one has the answer to Galloway. He's now my pick for A10 player of the year. Does it all. Inside and out. True leader.

We took em out on their own floor. You got handled by Wichita and VCU. UVA would have a field day with you. They should be in the top 7 come Monday. I'm wasting a one of my limited posts here. But Creighton loses three big SR's next year. Nova loses their leading scorer, but should be AOK next year. Marquette losed 3 of their top 5. X looks to be in great shape. Providence loses their 2 best players. St Johns at this point looks like a top 3 team. A mediocre at best loses by far their best player. They do have solid underclassmen left. They'll probably get 2-3 in at best. I am talking BB and I do it a lot with the stuff to back it up. Is the Big E really greener pastures except for the TV money? EDIT: OK responding to the post after this one, so as not to lose a precious daily post. IMO, the Big E is losing their exposure and big recruiting edge due to their perennial powerhouse teams gone. Yes, the payout is better, but for how long? They are a mid-major with 2 very strong teams this year. I don't see that changing soon. You can't lose UCONN WVA SYR VILLE and still be a premier conference with the advantages that go with it. We've been stealing NE recruits and GT recruits at a good clip from the BE of late. i think you overestimate the recruiting edge of the BE name. I could be wrong, but I'm just looking at the league as it stands now without it's premier Blue Blood names.

OK, I was holding it back as long as I could to let you guys to get over it, but It's all been said here already (See the "Our Season Is Over" thread). You still haven't locked up the conference, and you don't have a bunch of lame sub 200 RPI teams left on the schedule. Here's hoping that VCU and SLU get the 1 and 2 seeds and go blow to blow in the A10 championship with 4 and 5 seeds at stake.
