  1. Any seed is a good seed when out of the dance on Wednesday. Be happy wherever you get to go. It's all bonus time. We are happy no matter what. Nice work. Be the spoiler.
  2. I say 12 after 4 games in 4 days. 13 wouldn't hurt chances either.
  3. Huge props on that come back. Gutsy win. Best of luck in round 1.
  4. Wow, in spite of a JeQuan Lewis stupid play you're in and I'm happy to see it. Congrats Main Board. Keep the Bess thing going.
  5. 20 frigging points up!!! This is almost better than a VCU win. We'll see that on Friday.
  6. Yep. You guys worked them over and they got tired. Nice win.
  7. Refs suck again. Foreman did not have possession with his foot out. Now it's officially over. Great job guys. Win tomorrow and join us in the dance! You guys are way too big for Davidson. They have nothing in the paint for you. Nice win and dribble out shortly. Time to beat those scum-bags from Olean!
  8. Walk them out of the building! Go blue Billikens. I love it and I love it for you guys. Stop chucking 3's!!!!! Use the clock! Stop chucking 3's. You got the O board and another 35 seconds. Be smart Bess. They can't get enough possessions now if you guys just use 30 seconds every time. There was zero foul on that Grady drive. These refs suck.
  9. Next game is almost here. Welcome my friends to the Stu. Should be a good one. You're bigs are formidable.
  10. Hello Billiken fans, Had to sign on to say that your guys showed the most class I've seen in a long time. That was righteous.
  11. Oh, please don't do that. We need to get on a roll and finish this thing for our first A10 win I see your guys are already in town and ready to rock. It's going to be a messy RVA on Tuesday. Hopefully not a messy game. Weather bites, but the STU will rock as usual.
  12. Youth is a very difficult thing to deal with. 90% of freshmen come in with no idea what a D1 game is like and it takes a lot of hard gained experience before they get up to speed. For most of them, the transition doesn't happen until their 2nd year. Look at us. Our PG is now just really "gettiing it" after a full season and 25 games. Our freshmen are getting more involved, but even Larrier isn't quite fully ready yet. Look at what happened to VCU in the past 2 weeks, playing with a court full of underclassmen. Patience my friends, patience. Your time will come soon. The tools are there. They just aren't fully sharpened.
  13. I like you guys. That's why. This is a very good board and after I and everyone else chilled out, we all got some respect going.
  14. Believe me, we are not taking anyone lightly now. Every game is a potential loss (as is any game...that's why they play the games). Our kids did get the baptism of fire and we're better off as a result. Having Tre back as a calming influence makes the development that the kids had to get even more important. He totally opened the O against Foggy Bottom last night and didn't need to score 20. With Tre come better shots from everyone else.
  15. Welcome to the rematch. Not been a good couple of weeks for either of our teams. We finally got Tre back yesterday to very good effect and gave those Foggy Bottom guys a good spanking. Looking for another solid win Tuesday, but our guys need to stick with the program. The way we've been playing of late (losing to the Ticks and LaSalle at home) has been pretty frustrating to all of us, but the young guys have to learn somehow. Bring your heavy coats. Looks like Greenland South down here. Cheers to all here!!
  16. Play like you played last night and no one is safe in the A10 tourney. All those young guys and very few turnovers. Bri only got 2 steals. Both teams played some really solid HC D. We're seeing big improvement in ours in the last 10 games. It was our biggest weakness for sure. What I'm still trying to figure out on our side is why we didn't go down low more and seemed to settle for jumpers. It's a shame that the refs made this an ugly game for both teams. 42 fouls called. Can we get a call out for some B10 or SEC refs. It wasn't even a rough game that needed to be brought back into control. Geez, I was doing the ????? on both team's foul calls. I really think both teams shoot much better and play better with a good game flow. Both benches getting warned too. I thought we might lose for putting a hand 6 inches over the line on an inbound and pick up a T. Very surprised neither of the coaches got T'd up. Both deserved it at least once. Onward. See you at the Stu. Good luck. Back up that Yarborough truck and win games!
  17. Thanks. There is the return game at the Stu...Hope we show up for that one. We'd better show up Tuesday vs GW or the dreaded "loss at the Stu" could happen. I think we show up. We need Doug Brooks back. He's the only guy we could have put on McBroom after Bri got his 3rd. Doug can do some on-ball defending. And, he rains the 3 very nicely now that he's been tamed. Realized how much of our D he is tonight while your guards were carving inside repeatedly. Looked like he was jumping around on the bench, so he should be back soon.
  18. Big props to the Bills. Played a great game and almost pulled it out. I like what I saw. Yarborough is a beast. What up with him hitting almost all his FT's? Tre is gold. Man, we couldn't put it in the ocean tonight, but strangely enough, we hit FT's. Very weird. Awesome exciting game to watch and your arena was jacked! 9600 show up for a 9-9 team. Awesome fans. Good luck. I stand corrected. Your team is really going to be good next year. To be feared. Thankful our 3 game road-trip is over and back to the Stu. Cheers...you could do damage in the tournament.
  19. WVU has "gimmicked" their way right into the top 20 this year. It's no gimmick if you find the players to run it. It just flat out kills teams that only go 7-8 deep at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half. Teams playing 4-5 guys over 30 minutes have big trouble. I believe the carving is going to have to wait a bit longer than you are saying because we are incredibly loaded with talented guards that can all score...and they are young. And Doug Brooks has become a lock-down defender and has a sweet 3. Went from green turnover machine as a freshman to dangerous 2 guard over the summer. Totally different player. Too bad you won't get to see him tomorrow. Oh, and he's on the NCAA All-Hair Team too. Not putting your squad down. It's mega-rebuild time. Every year will be an improvement with experience, but that goes for every young team.
  20. With you Brian???? If so, I bow to you DE-LICIOUS. If not, thanks for making my day.
  21. You just haven't been paying attention have you... Have a look at the class we brought in this year and last year. The really good programs lose guys like Tre and Bri and just keep rolling along. We will have no no issues whatsoever, except in early season while getting everyone on the same page. Actually, our team will be way more well balanced and our weakness (bigs) will be solved. Tillman is already starting to be a beast. He's going to be a real force and he's already showing signs of domination on D and some signs of offense as well. Mo's just a Soph and he's a brick wall blocking machine that's developing slowly into a guy who can score. His ceiling is very high. Oh and we have this guy named Murphy (they grow em big n strong in TX) who was recruited by all of the TX schools and more coming in. JQ will be hitting stride as a PG. Jon Williams will be a much improved PG. Kenny can play it too. Larrier will just be a Soph, with that sweet 3 stroke and another 17-18 games under his belt. Oh, did I forget Kenny W (took him from UNC's short-list) and Tevin Mack (if you haven't heard about him, you just don't follow the game). If you haven't had a look at Mack, he's a scoring machine and a beast who will likely be plug n play. He's a chiseled rock with a mega-handle a 3 ball and the height to get over any guard. Have a look and salivate. What kid works this hard in HS? He's going to be NCAA ready when he shows up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&x-yt-ts=1421782837&x-yt-cl=84359240&v=C73pGKontP4 All of these guys have really good handles. TO's shouldn't be a problem. HAVOC will still be in the face, only with bigger, longer, players in it. What Bri has done is something that has never and likely will never be done again in our lifetimes (I can put the stats up that show just how much better he's been as a stealer over 4 years as anyone that has every played CBB-it's astoundng-no one, even Linehan who's about to lose his record even comes close). It will be terrible to lose him. Tre's a rock and a leader. They are big losses for sure and we'll have some pre-season losses while everyone gets on the same page. If we're not the A10 favorite again next year, I'll eat my hat. We are going to be a very big team next year, and the 4/5 position is finally addressed. 6-5, 6-7 6-8 wings that can shoot the 3 or take you to the hoop. Scary stuff, and Burgess is our best on-ball defender with Tre's size. You won't see us giving O Boards in a big way next year. The best thing about our team is it is young, big and very talented. The snowball will keep rolling. The HAVOC will keep flowing. 2 4 star classes will do that. Oh, and Mel's back to rain 3's on everyone and a few "Melvins" to go with his 85% plus FT shooting. Don't see any fall-off, especially with a team coached by Shaka. Feel free to correct me if you disagree. Just use a couple of facts or decent arguments.
  22. That's why they play the games. I have no misconception of it being a blowout unless we nail 10 3's. I would point out that our HC D has improved by leaps and bounds over the past 10 games and our TO pace is improving. Anyone can beat anyone. What we need to do is run McBroom off the 3 point line all night like we did to Davidson's guys, get a high post established and then go inside to the bigs. Oh, and shoot our average from 3. No one over on VRN is taking this game lightly, of that I can assure you. No road game is easy. Ask Kentucky.
  23. That's justs wrong. There are very few individual fans in CBB that are as hard-core as Pav. Also, there are no other individual fans in CBB that get as much airtime as Pav. He's really a truly nice guy and a massive supporter of his school and program. We're very fortunate to have a guy like Pavarotti. This is a guy that gets in a van and drives to Northern Iowa in a snow-ice storm to support the team.
