  1. Calling the staff right now. They need to know I will be scouting the WSU game at 1:00 EST
  2. Call it a rivalry or whatever else they want to call it. We will ride their backs to respectability this season. Watched the game against Illinois State and still didn't see the halfcourt game they need to win against us.
  3. Throwing one down doesn't a ball player make but it sure gets everyone amped up and can shake the confidence of the enemy at times. Teammates, crowd and coaching staff do love it
  4. VCU @ home and away, George Mason away, and George Washington.
  5. Hated to do it but was pulling for UMass the whole way this time. Necessary evil for that rpi. Now UMass taking down LSU, URI taking down SMU, and VCU taking down UVA would be some great results for the A-10
  6. It's also a coincidence I bought my wife and my mistress the same jewelry item..... On a serious note, look forward to your reports..
  7. We are both in the same conference. Picked to finish 1 and 2. At the very least seems the beginning of a very good rivalry
  8. I also agree that JC should show a certain amount of loyalty to GG and other upperclassmen that have put in the sweat the last couple years. Freshmen should earn their stripes, and have to take that spot from the upperclassmen. Have heard from a couple players that GG and RA have fought like alley cats for that starting spot, but RA has been banged up for a little while, and that in crunch time in a tight game RA would probably be the better option due to his skill set and being able to get almost any shot he wants in the halfcourt and ability to finish through contact.
  9. +1 I like very much what I have seen from GG so far, but very interested to see how it transfers over to higher level. An energy player is normally just that. He is in possibly the best shape of his life and to me that means he will bring that much more energy, but I still think when it counts the 4 spot will require more skill then energy, especially late in a tight game. So far we have had a d3 opponent and a depleted and undersized d1 that GG's energy should have been effective against. After all he was physically bigger then what SEMO had.
  10. Crawford will be solid. Nice form and release, and have heard is a consistent outside shot. Can't read too much into this game however.
  11. So much for showing midseason defensive prowess... Hopefully this is a wakeup call for us.
  12. No matter whatever decisions JC takes regarding recruiting I think he has earned most of our trust that program is in good hands and headed in a positive direction
  13. Will be a good sign of where we are defensively if we can hold them under 45 points. Especially with them missing the 6'8" and 6'9" kids.
  14. Old Guy, nice post. I don't pay attention to preseason rankings. In my opinion that is how the media guys sell whatever they may be selling. Talent is one thing, but until these guys get on the hardwood and all the personalities, game strategy, and the like come together, its anybody's guess on season outcome.
  15. Old Guy, I actually agree with you that it is not right, and not the direction we should be going, but I have a hard time thinking of a high level program that isn't doing it. So question should probably be is this the direction we are headed.
  16. No redshirt here. Kid will contribute mightily this year. From what I heard this young man suffered a dislocated finger on his shooting hand several weeks ago and recently suffered a seperated shoulder or similar injury.
  17. This is the norm in big time college ball today whether we like it or not. SLU may have to implement this strategy at some point especially if we expect to be in the Big East.Whether we think this is right or not is a whole different story.
