  1. Growing too fast. None of her Billiken stuff fits anymore...Seems to be a gap in apparel, I haven't been able to find any toddler Billiken stuff.
  2. Re Ford's fan interaction...Ford will always have a special place in my heart after he got tickets for my husband and me behind the SLU bench at the SLU/KState game in KC on 12/21/2019, one day after my due date and two days before my daughter was born. Some of you will recall... I had waited to buy tickets because I didn't know whether I would have the baby yet and randomly tweeted at him the day before that I wanted to go to the game. He made it happen!

  4. I see where you're coming from Roy. Thanks for conceding the point about places that kids need to be vs. "luxury" events. My kids have to go to daycare every day and they are both under 2 so won't be able to get the covid vax for a long time. I certainly hope their teachers are vaccinated but I'm not really in a position to do anything about it if they're not. Having said that I can see why you feel the way you do about billiken games.
  5. What do you think my "agenda" is... Just curious? Nowhere have I pushed any policy ideas. You're the one doing that.
  6. Dude you are splitting hairs here. Forgive me if I fail to see the difference between "I don't care if other people's kids get COVID" and "I don't believe I have any duty as a human being living in society to help prevent other people's kids from getting COVID." I believe you are making a distinction that makes you feel better, and you're free to do that, but still, in practice there is no difference. That's not a lie.
  7. I've said things said in this thread make me sad and I wish you the best and that's fostering hate, got it.
  8. Super weird how heated you're getting and calling me a liar. How you can get fostering hate from my post is beyond me but I wish you the best.
  9. C'mon roy, I don't want to fight with you. I'm not giving my opinion on vaccine mandates here. I AM giving my opinion that it's sad to see people callously say "not my problem" about other Billiken fans' sick kids, etc. That is quite literally not caring....people are saying it explicitly in their posts. And it's sad, and I wish people would quit. It bums me out. But hey that's the internet.
  10. I'm disappointed to see people not caring for others throughout this thread. Maybe I am naïve for buying into the Jesuit missions of "Men and Women for Others" and "Magis." I'm not usually a "STICK TO SPORTS" guy but maybe we should stick to sports...
  11. Yeah I'm pretty critical of the NCAA for a lot of things but this isn't one of them.
  12. I think it has to do with work vs student visas? I base that off a random tweet I saw though, so could be way off here.
  13. Wonder how much it cost to get Joe Buck to narrate this
  14. If anyone on here is a woman (or thinking of purchasing for one) for sizing: I'm 5'2" and normally wear size small. I sized up to medium for a comfier fit/intentionally oversized look. I got a t-shirt and the crew neck sweatshirt. Both fit as expected. If anyone cares about this type of thing, I thought the packaging they shipped in was a really nice touch especially in contrast to Amazon boxes/plastic bags. 100% cardboard bag type thing that was super easy to throw in recycling while still seeming durable enough to easily hold up to shipping.
  15. I'm still salty that we got Covid-screwed out of the baby race in 2020-2021 with my first. Luckily Baby No. 2 was born in Feb. 2021 so we should have a decent shot this year.
  16. I don't think I can probably help anyone directly, but PM me if anyone you know is looking for a job in science. In particular, our infectious disease/diagnostics, product registration chemistry, and medical countermeasures/toxicology groups are hiring at all levels and having trouble finding people. I get a $1,000 bonus for referring people, so hey, shoot your shot....
  17. OH my God I feel like such an idiot. I never paid that much attention and have been reading his ig handle as "u know NYC" and thought it was super weird he had NYC in his handle. Unknown yc makes a lot more sense lol
  18. Cowboy II?? Did something happen to your original account?
  19. Ha...I was hoping to just present the data and leave it up to everyone else to get into a debate about what it means. But since you asked, here goes: If we were a farm league, I would expect to see a net of more transfers moving "up" to the P6 vs. lateral or downward moves. I don't see that in this data set. It's just one piece of information though. It doesn't take into account the % of guys who have P6 interest who moved up. Like, if every single dude good enough to play for KU or wherever moves on, that would be an indicator that we're something of a farm league. Example- an actual farm league: AAA baseball- every single guy who is good enough will obviously go to the majors if given a chance. In that case it doesn't matter the numbers going each way if one league is obviously the goal and the other is a stepping stone to get there. Based on those criteria I would say no, not a farm league for the following reasons: 1. There's not an obvious exodus of top guys from A10 to P6. 2. There's not an obvious preference toward moving to P6. There are definitely guys sticking around who would easily be able to move, e.g., Perkins and others. I would also say A10 is making out pretty well on both ends; 20 dudes transferring in from P6 and 20 from non-P6. I'm surprised it's so balanced.
  20. Yeah like I said I almost certainly made some mistakes. Honestly I'm surprised people didn't catch more. Lol Fixed original post.
  21. I added some notes to this because I was interested in whether the A10 has become a farm league for P6 conferences due to transfer rules from this year. A couple caveats/explanations: - In the interest of time and objectivity, I didn't differentiate between good/bad teams. Only conferences. Boston College still counted as P6, for example, even though their bball program isn't great. - Anyone listed as "TBA" I counted as going to non-P6. - I didn't differentiate between high major, low major, etc. Too ambiguous. - Green = in from P6, red= out to P6. Blue= in from non-P6, yellow = out to non-P6. Purple = D2. - I almost certainly made some mistakes doing this. - I realize this might change for future years. This is only from this year, obviously.
