1. @Clock I think what Billikan and others are referring to is that there are several other behind-the-scenes, influencing individuals behind KC and his antics, this his eventual departure. I, too, was given the full story and there were people "guiding" KC along the way. This was beyond Crews.
2. @kshoe I agree the hole in the lineup sucks but it doesn't matter because he was leaving regardless and it was out of their control. Their reaction is a moot point as it doesn't matter. There was a toxic element that could have been a huge negative in the long haul.

Better to get a malcontent like Carter out soon so that he doesn't poison the whole group. The rest of the team seems to have great work ethic and a positive attitude. No need for lazy or disrespectful players.

I wouldn't say the staff is shedding tears over this move.

5. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="tarheelbilliken" data-cid="334425" data-time="1357230514">
Does anyone know why he left?
Was it Crews?
Was he only committed playing for Majerus?
Was it grades? Was the end of the semester.
Didn't get along with his travel room mate?

Since he played in couple games, he gave up a year of eligibility, so I would thought it would have been best if he stuck it out. With KM rehabilitating, he might have gotten 10-15 minutes. If he produced certainly would made made him more marketable for a transfer after the Spring semester to a upper level D1 school. He is going to be out of any real basketball for a year. No place to work out and no real competition. Now, I have to agree with Roy, I don't think ILL would take him or even a DePaul. They are not going to want a poor student or a head case.

He came here for Majerus. Since Majerus was no longer coaching, he and his family wanted to go elsewhere. Also the coaching uncertainty we are currently having didn't help.

7. Perhaps you should pay attention to the spreads The Wiz gives in relationship to the Vegas spreads. Historically, The Wiz gives the spread 3-4 days before Vegas and is spot on. If you gamble with any frequency, you would find these numbers by The Wiz as close as you can get to having a crystal ball.
8. We know for a fact that Carter came here for Majerus. Unfortunately, players come for coaches not schools at this level. When Majerus was known to be absent this season and beyond, KC was done. KC is talented as we have all seen on the court. Unfortunately, he suffers from a similar condition that Ruben Cotto suffered from when he was here. This is not good for team chemistry and was evident by players and coaches. These moves are best for both parties. He will have a nice career elsewhere.
9. His family is there and it's his home. He is taking a non-sports position for giving and donations. MTSU is 30k plus students - pretty big business. TK did a ton for this program and he will be missed very much. Bills are losing a great one. I don't think he will be replaced very easily.
10. So you are saying this system/rule is a good barometer to measure academic progress? Also, do you feel we are not excelling academically?
11. I mean since it is so close to home we may actually have more fans there than SIUE. I understand the venue will not be the same; however, this is as close to a home road game as you will get. Like UNLV playing in the Las Vegas Tourney in November. Not a home game but as close as you can get without being on your own campus. I didn't mean for it to be strict and literal. Sorry for the confusion.
12. Home and home series. Might as well be two home games.
13. Santa Clara here and Stanford with Washington trip.
14. We were lucky to have Declan as long as we did. He is going places and very deservingly so. He has been a real asset to the university.
15. Bob Fox. He is a trustee and very large donor and MBB advocate. He is married to Maxine Clark from Build-a-bear and owns New Space. Great guy and a humanitarian as well.
16. You are flying more than 18-20 people.
17. Around $35k +/- $2-3k to charter the team.
18. Which part: 1. The part where I said CU made contact, 2. The part I said I reported it, 3. The part I told PB to quit being an idiot after he insulted me. Choose.
19. Travel is the difference. They are closer to all locations in the A10. I don't know what Mack pulls down but I imagine RM's salary is at least double his. I wonder if donated flight time on charters is included in the expensing. I know X flies charter almost exclusively.
20. Equally interesting is the Recruiting Expense of $118k ranking 234/344. Terrible. Shows that Fr. B needs to better fund the program.
21. Fox for $10k to start. He is another guy we should all be thankful for helping the program. He is really passionate about SLU MBB. The kids were great. Very friendly and mixed well with the crowd. Great representatives of SLU.
