  1. Carter hits on a lot of good/common issues in his open: https://twitter.com/i/spaces/1PlJQpkLzyXGE His NBA analogies woof— no mention of Kawhi during the Raptors coaching thing pretty funny Relayed that during post-game Ford said “he’s given too much trust to some guys and they’re too relaxed late”— almost an embarrassing observation to make, given the amount of times we’ve seen this before. Polar opposite of the ‘12-14 group at the end of big games. Our experience doesn’t seem to count for anything Someone in this thread mentioned Forrester not returning to the game after he got his 4th foul— that was bad. Wonder if anyone asked Ford about it Baldwin— he was raining long 2s. He’s not an especially tall guard where “shooting over Yuri” is as easy as someone made it sound. Yea maybe throw someone else at him, but he was hitting shots we wanted him to take, just unconscious
  2. No idea what this means, but letting it go works for me
  3. Sorry, probably shouldn't have directed at you specifically. I was triggered seeing the "it's not that serious" deployed at me given every loss preludes a nuclear meltdown around here Next time, please use this: I agree with both of these?
  4. Take a look in the mirror, my guy. Every other post on this board is doom and gloom/Fire Ford/we stink, or whatever the above was — giving imaginary season ticket holders excuses for not attending games. It’s college basketball. Look around, teams lose games they are supposed to win every night. The show goes on
  5. "Yea, I was going to go to the VCU game, I mean I have season tickets that are all paid for, but I just can't get past that home loss to SIUE"
  6. Your first sentence - are you responding to something I said? There's going to be a good crowd tonight, in part because of the reasons CenHud stated, i.e., because we're still a good team, it's Friday night, there's a promo, etc. You're now moving the goal posts to, "Ok, fine, it looks like it could be packed house, BUT what if some season ticket holders don't show up because we lost games we could have won. I would understand that." Who f--- cares? Those people sound like terrible fans if that's their sole reason for skipping the biggest home game of the year.
  7. That's not additional context, that's just listing out all of our losses? We were an above-average team fighting for 1st place in the A-10 before the Fordham loss, we're still an above-average team fighting for 1st place in the A-10 following the loss
  8. Love the hiccups qualifier that is a new one for me
  9. The average/casual fan is 10x more likely to attend a game with a promo like this than they are to be dissuaded from attending because we lost our last game. The only people who still care about the latter are pissing and moaning on this board
  10. Obviously makes a difference if you’re toting those kids with you, but if not, is it difficult to buy cheap tickets and then find empty seats in the lower bowl?
  11. Gio came out and said his effort was poor because Gregg told him he wouldn’t have a huge role in Qatar. Obviously not a great look either way, but makes a little more sense. Pretty poor move from the manager to drop all of this in the press though, after it was seemingly handled internally
  12. Appreciate the 5 minute distraction trying to wrap my brain around this comment
  13. College me salutes your logic here. Clearly the bad decision is drinking to begin with
  14. When Dempsey is critisizing players/decisions like this immediately after a win, I think it's safe to say this isn't just "soccer fans being unreasonable" in relation to Gregg's decision-making. Like gobills said, our gameplans have been excellent, but his in-game subs have been all over the board, and the lack of minutes from Reyna is really going to leave a bad taste in people's mouths/only add fuel to the fire. It would be like Ford leaving Jimerson on the bench for all but 5 mins in the NCAA tournament.
  15. I thought the 74-45 L @ Butler was the worst road game I’ve attended, but I have to move the Maryland game to the top spot based on expectations. Can assure you I did not stick around for the entire second half. It was torture
  16. He shot 2 threes during a game in which we had no semblance of a functioning offense. Miles Reynolds couldn’t shoot a lick
  17. Lol. You titled this thread “perspective”. Good teams get blown out every week. If we win by double-digits tomorrow it will be a wash with today’s result for many voters.
  18. Everywhere except Nick’s Pub ha New Year’s Day 2017
  19. Off the top of my head, Gonzaga lost by 20 this week
  20. Awesome, thank you for the conjecture sounds solid. Not sure why would should show up tomorrow if that’s the case
  21. Huh? All week we said let’s win 2/3 this week and that would be great. Now one awful half, which every team in the nation will have, and it’s “so much for being ranked this season”? Ok.
  22. This season man these threads are insufferable during a loss
  23. I have no idea how you can say we are better than Maryland after that half. What? Here comes the Tennessee poster, yikes
