Schertz is throwing out the first pitch tomorrow at the Cards game. He apparently will spend a few minutes on the mound this afternoon to make sure, hopefully, he doesn't bounce it tomorrow.
That’s something that he couldn’t do in Terre Haute. I’m sure a lot of Sycamore fans will be driving to St. Louis to watch him throw out the first pitch. -
The Sycamore fans don’t know anything about the most iconic mascot in college sports.

We feel for you Tex. That’s the current state of CBB. The bigger guys feed off the smaller guys, and there’s almost always someone bigger than you. Our hope here is that JS helps build the program whether he is here for the rest of his career ala Mark Few, or only for two or three years. It’s a shame that your program was never able to build off the Larry Bird years. Looking at your sycamorepride.com message board, you are now all going after each other. Who knows, maybe we would be doing the same thing here if it happened to us. Good luck to the Sycamores. I wish them nothing but the best moving forward.

Getting back to transfers: I know nothing about him, but 6’10” forward Yacine Toumi, has entered the portal as a grad transfer from Evansville (is Turnbull his replacement?). I’m sure Coach Schertz is already on him if he thinks this is someone he needs.
