I think that he and Collins can play together. Truthfully, I think he has the ability to take minutes from Collins as the point, unless Collins scoring improves. It would have an equal effect on Thatch and Jimerson, each giving a few minutes to Cook. Think of it this way: AC: 30 min; YC: 25 min; FT: 20 min; GJ: 20 min. (With 20 of FT and GJ minutes coming from playing the 3). JP plays 30 (10 min as a PF).

What was Dwayne Evans? Stretch 4, or just generally a bad mother...? He was 6’5”, and not really heavy. Hargrove is easily a better athlete. Also, Hargrove is light years ahead as a shooter. Hargrove just needs to channel the teachings of Corey Tate, a 6’4” big 12 PF. He needs to focus on getting boards, playing smart in the offensive plan, and making high energy plays. If he does that, he will be hard to take out of the game.

Linssen was great this year. My wish list is that either he or bell figure out how to shoot 3s at greater than 33%.

I was never really impressed with Gassama until this year. He looks like he could physically play in the A10 now. However, He is the type of player that needs to be able to hit over 34% of his 3’s, and be an outside-in 5 man, to be effective (like Rob Loe). I am not sure he can do that.

It is funny, I thought Baylor would win by 10. Gonzaga did not seem to have a great defense. Baylor is just a really good team this year. Good all around. Similar to Virginia a few years ago.

I hate to say it, but Nesbit is a 4 who can rebound and play D. I think that is why he will end up getting a lot if PT next year, splitting time with Hargrove.

So, on Rashad Williams, I have gone back and forth on this addition. Ultimately, I am excited. We add someone who has a lot of experience having to move to get open. Having to shoot while being harassed and guarded heavily. This year, we had phenomenal shooting when teams did not guard us, but we disappeared (well somewhat) when we got into conference and the average A10 defense. Williams can help us. He may not have a perfect average, but he will not go into a shell against SBU style defense. Also, with the attention our other players bring, he could have a monster year. For example, are teams gonna have a third 3pt defender, when the first two cover GJ and JP? Or, on the other end, is GJ going to be able to fly under the radar and destroy some teams?

Yep, that is a great example of stuff that can be twisted into anything. If he didn’t punch a coach or a teammate, then I think it means nothing.
