Torres had a rough half against Slovenia, but there were bright moments. The Slovenian keeper made a great save on Torres' free kick, which was the same play that he hit the post on in the friendly against Turkey. He was great in the Turkey friendly. I would rather have him in than Clark for sure. If Edu is in, I won't be upset, but I'd prefer Torres

I'd prefer Torres to Edu or Clark. Torres adds creativity and seems to have that bulldog mentality that you see in a lot of good players. He reminds me quite a bit of Dos Santos for Mexico. Wouldn't mind seeing Gomez get a start up top. Things just seem to click when he's out there. I wouldn't be upset with Buddle though either, as Gomez seems like more of a "super-sub." Your idea of putting Holden in there and moving Deuce up top ain't bad. I just hope to God that Bradley doesn't do that but with Beasley. USA!!!!

A little surprised that Findley made it over Ching. I thought Ching showed some creativity last night. Like both Buddle and Gomez. Wouldn't mind seeing Altidore and Buddle up top with Gomez coming on in the 2nd half for some energy. Despite all the Loe talk, the fact remains that at this moment in time, we have no scholarships remaining. I realize that it has been discussed a lot on this board. Obviously someone would have to leave. As musch as I would hate to see him go, Jeff Reid is probably the odd man out which is a shame because I thought he had the best potential out of any of our incoming recruits with the exception of Ellis. At this point though, it would probably be best for him to transfer. Even if we open up another scholarship, the fact that St. Mary's is in on him scares me. They have FIVE Aussies on their roster and have been recruiting down there for some time. If Loe is as good as some are making him out to be, Rick needs to point to Bogut (which I'm sure he is doing) and tell Loe that he can make him the next Bogut.

Ellis played a great 39 1/2 minutes, but I don't see a need to shoot a contested 3 when we are up by three with 30 seconds left in regulation and 15 on the shot clock. EDIT: He played a great game though, I'm not trying to take that away from him.
