I am not sure I would call Alex Tyus a bust. The kid averaged 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds as a sophomore, 11.8 points and 6.9 rebounds as a junior, and this year is down, but still averaging 8.7 points and 5 rebounds while starting every game for the Gators. The kid has started every game over the past three seasons. I would say he has had a pretty solid career.

I'm just glad I decided to stay home and skip this one.

I just checked and I see that Bowling Green currently has a RPI of 335.

The GameTracker is showing 58-51 Bowling Green with 1:58 in the game.

I think the addition of Josh Selby offsets this bad news for the Kansas program. KU is going to be really tough with Selby taking over the point.

I guess the silver lining in the suspensions of Kwamain and Willie is that the freshmen have been forced to take on significant roles and play big minutes and they are really stepping up. Now we just need Kwamain and Willie to return.

While we never should have been down by 18, it is really nice to see the Billikens fight back like this.

The photo above shows the ref with his arm up, so the foul would have already been called. If this is the same defense that was being played a second earlier that caused the ref to call a foul, this ref needs to never call a college game again.

It looks like the Billikens were not the only A-10 team to struggle last night: St. Bonaventure lost to Canisius 80-70 Charlotte lost to Gardner-Webb 78-70 Fordham lost to Brown 69-65 Saint Joseph's got smashed by Western Kentucky 98-70 Xavier trailed by 9 at half to Western Michigan before pulling off the 68-65 win Temple did get a nice win over Seton Hall though.

Anything of note to report from the meeting?

I am not saying he never made a jumper, but I would not say he had any consistency shooting from anywhere let alone 15 feet. I recall him throwing up some nasty shots from 10-15 feet on the baseline and that is where my seats are. I do recall him hitting a couple shots in the CBI, but that did not happen throughout the season. He shot 46% on the season and I would have to think the majority of those shots were around the rim.

You have seen this in practice right? I don't recall him showing much ability to shoot the basketball from any distance, but my only basis for this is home games at Chaifetz.

The case comes down to two questions as far as the student court is concerned 1) was the girl drunk and 2) did they have sex with her. I had a friend expelled from SLU for having sex with a girl who was intoxicated and thus unable to give consent, so a one semester suspension does not seem so bad. Schools like Dayton have similar policies.

So they are just suspended for the next two months?

Your comment implies it, but do we know that there has been a ruling and that the ruling was a one year suspension? Is this rumored suspension for one player, two players? If the VP's office overrules this decision and these guys go unpunished will the girl's father, who some have said is a wealthy alum, and her legal counsel raise hell as well? It sounds like this is a complicated decision.

I disagree with this statement, kids wants to play for the big time schools and those are the BCS programs If a kid is choosing between SLU or Creighton and a school like Arkansas or Indiana you better believe the conference and exposure of a BCS conference is a factor.
