RM is looking at the big picture. We're not going anywhwere this year. If he gets through to Cody by sitting him it will be worth it in the long run. Besides, he hasn't been anywhere close to a difference maker this year. I doubt he would have changed the outcome last night.

Who's the inside threat? Remeken had 2 points and 1 rebound in 22 minutes. We have no inside threat besides Evans. Ellis and Loe's values are greatly diminished due to our lack of inside players.

The freshmen had 18 of our 21 rebounds and 40 of our 60 points. We'll be better next year, but still not good if we don't get better big men. Manning may help, but we also need another forward that can defend, rebound and score inside. If Ellis and Loe still can't help in those categories next year we need two.

The women are heading in the wrong direction. Next years incoming class isn't going to help. Three players and none of them averaged 8 pts per game in high school ball. Shimmy has had enough time to show she's not going to make them decent. The question is does the athletic director care?

Depends on what they're playing.

Conklin seems to be losing his minutes to Evans. I'm ok with that since Evans is a better rebounder and offensive player. Conklin looks stronger and is currently the better defender, but Evans isn't a slouch in those department either.

JJ's out there because RM knows for us to be decent both JJ and MM have to be able to contribute. We'll see them both out there at crunch time.

Frank has never been very reliable reporting Billiken news. He usually has less inside info than people on this board.

It will take a while for Loe to figure out what he can and can't do at this level. I have no problem with him being aggressive and going for it. It looks like he has a quick release so even if the threat just backs his guy off a little it could pay dividends.

CS is snake bit. He has regressed offensively since he got here and he has never shown the consistency to be called a 3point threat. However, he does have game. He may be our best defender. Last year he seemed to drive more and was more confident in his shot. Maybe he needs a sports psychologist to hypnotize him to restore his confidence in his offense. He has talent and is an asset. If the offense comes around like Kyle's has he would be in our top 3.

BC just can't score against quick big guys. He needs to draw contact and hope for a foul or pass to the open man when they collapse on him.

We're going to be better than most people think. This is as good a recruiting class as RM has had. Maybe the best. Think back when Willie, Kwamain, Brian and Kyle were playing their first games their freshmen year. They weren't studs. Kwamain and Willie had flashes, but were works in progress. JJ, MM & DE are all there. RL is far ahead and shown progress in even this short time. If these guys progress the way Willie and Kwamain did freshman year we're going to improve significantly. Our defense showed more last night than I thought we were capable of. I think its going to be a fun year despite the Student Judicial Board's attempts to destroy the program.

If they would have added a sentence referring to her helping put the condoms on most readers dismiss the assault allegation. Leave it out and they think where's there's smoke there's fire. They obviously want to make it more newsworthy.

They weren't plotting to take advantage of a vulnerable female. They were discussing whether they thought she would pull a train. There's no indication these guys had any intent to force themselves on her. All she had to say is no, I'm leaving and she walks out the door. Instead she helps put condoms on them. You may object to girls pulling trains and guys getting on them, but its legal. Hell, I was impressed they all had the good sense to use condoms.

Thanksgiving should be interesting for the Reeds.

Willie is saying all the right things for a return. RM has got to like that. If they don't let these guys back in after they complete all the requirements, there's no hope for this program.

More important than the students academic and sport careers, I am concerned about their immortal souls. God's punishment for this type of conduct is very harsh for the unrepentant and just because such conduct is common place, does not make it right. So you've talked to God about this? Can you see if he can get us to the Final Four?

Biondi ought to step in and direct whoever is the decision maker to let them back in school. They can spin this to make it go away. No crime was committed. They made a bad judgment, violated the school's code of conduct, went through the school's judicial process and were punished appropriately. Its an easy spin and ends this mess. Everyone walks away with something, but disappointed it didn't go entirely their way. That's a fair settlement. Get it done Biondi.

There's no crime here. Only a drunken college night that everyone would like to forget. No way either Willie or Kwamain should be punished. Kwamain had consensual sex with a college coed and Willie had a couple of buddies that tried to get in on the end of a train. If you can be booted from college for that half of this board would have gotten kicked out.(if that offends you, then you are in the other half) The only questionable behavior was JS and JJ. You shouldn't get punished for your friends bad judgment and that's what is happening here.

Shimmy hasn't shown the ability to win with lesser talent or recruit good talent. The three recruits she signed this year don't sound like D1 talent. None of them averaged 8 points a game last season. That generally doesn't translate well to the college level. They're not tall either.

Hey, help is on the way. They signed three girls for next year and two of them averaged almost 8 points a game. That should translate to at least 3 per per game at the college level.

Our guys from down under were 1 for 10 from 3 point land. Conklin, Loe and Remekun had a total of 5 rebounds between them. The 3 point shooting will have good nights and bad nights. Bad nights we lose. Good nights we've got a shot at winning. I don't know if the rebounding will improve. That can improve with more PT for Evans, but only marginally. Our only hope is Loe, Ellis and Salecich become the 3 point shooters they are supposed to be. If McCall's shot is as good as it looks and Cassity stays the same, at least one or two of them should be on on any given night. If the 3 point shooting doesn't come through this season is toast. JJ looks like our best inside scorer and he's 5'10''.

From reading the write-ups on Shimmy's 3 new recruits it doesn't sound like things are going to get any better. Two of the three didn't even average 8 points a game in HS. They didn't even mention the third ones average so it can't be anything to brag about. I know she started with nothing, but how long are they going to give her to turn it around?
