  1. I saw this guy pop up again today. We had interest last year and he committed to Butler before deciding to return to Central Arkansas. Can't say I watched him but not impressed by the numbers especially at that level.
  2. Crazy that it has been 17 years since SIU last made the NCAA tournament. In the 15 previous seasons before that they went 9 times with two Sweet Sixteens.
  3. Getting it done early does let you find out if someone that isn't coaching right now is serious about wanting the job or if he is just using you to raise his price elsewhere. If that guy is your first choice or choice 1A, finding that out now let's you move on sooner to offering the job to your next choice. He can't claim he can't make a commitment until the job officially opens out of respect to the current coach anymore.

  5. I highly doubt Chris May will be fired. If a change is coming in the AD role, it isn't going to happen because Chris May was fired.
  6. I still think it is happening Saturday. While in the hell would you fly Travis Ford with team Saturday night to New York to fire him the next day?
  7. He has a premium site behind a paywall.
  8. I’m sure Lonergan got a big settlement in his case against GW, but I understand his lingering anger. I would still be really salty at the place that actively worked to destroy my reputation to such a degree I still couldn’t get job over allegations that were completely false. His name is still too toxic to get a job almost eight years later even though it was all BS. Yeah, I would be pretty pissed still.
  9. The AD at GW was was bad news. Giving the basketball players keys to his house, paying basketball players, getting blackout drunk at basketball team events and filming video of himself straddling basketball players.
  10. Lonergran got screwed by a nut job AD that later had to be forced out himself for inappropriate relations with athletes. The most serious allegations against Lonergran all turned out to be false. Deadspin did a deep dive into the whole Lonegran story around three or four years ago. All the homophobe accusations were complete BS. Even the founder of Outsports became Lonergran defender.
  11. Let's check in on how things are going at GW.
  12. The game is too much of blow out for it to happen
  13. Can you get Deathtöngue back together to play the national anthem before a ballgame this year?
  14. Nothing to see here except the Dayton AD out there updating what is going on, explaining and selling the importance of Dayton's NIL to the whole Dayton Flyers' fanbase. SLU isn't broke when it comes to NIL, but it just continues to miss chance after chance to be the top NIL in the A10. It seems it is now intentional and not just incompetency that keeps the BVF an insular group of people who were already part of their club before NIL. https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/dayton-ad-alerts-flyer-faithful-about-big-change-in-nil-landscape/V42PFLZX2JE43H3W2H2NNKGOTI/
  15. Lee will probably have either their VCU or Richmond beat writers from the Richmond Times-Dispatch cover the Billikens, too. It is a pretty easy call on their part. Why waste money for airline tickets and a hotel for Stu when SLU sucks and most readers won't care about the game? It is what Lee does for their Illini coverage in the Post. The beat writer whose articles appear in the Post for the Illini actually is a Decatur Herald & Review writer a different paper Lee owns.
  16. Rice baseball really fell apart after Wayne Graham left. 164th.
