  1. There is a very sizable African American middle and upper class population in this metro area that none of the professional teams or the Billikens have been able to tap successfully. The NBA wouldn’t have that problem, plus the NBA would automatically be the most attractive option for national corporate dollars in this town. A NBA team would make money in St. Louis. The problem is there are markets with with either less competition, larger population bases and/or more corporate dollars where owners think they could make more money.
  2. Plus, we are in a group with England and Wales. It would make sense to have a guy that is very familiar with defending against the players on those two rosters.
  3. I can't believe I am typing this because he will be 35 in a couple of weeks, but Tim Ream needs to be on the roster. Not only that, he should be starting for the team with the way he has preformed this season in the EPL.
  4. Iger doesn't have a high enough net worth to buy out Sarver's 35% stake in the Suns. We are talking about forking over $800 million on the extremely low end.
  5. Last season between his G League salary, Exhibit 10 bonus and his 10 day NBA contract Goodwin made around $138,000.
  6. Players and staff read the board. Many of them would never admit, but it is basic human nature to want to know what others are saying about you.
  7. He was great in The Karate Kid remake.
  8. Kelle is Yuri's cousin, correct?
  9. I am a little surprised SLU hasn't added a plant science program. It would have made sense to do so years ago. I am glad that they added a Geo-informatics & Geospatial Analytics Major last year.
  10. You can point to those examples, that doesn't explain why UMass, Gonzaga, Marquette, Buffalo, Auburn, Illinois Chicago, Worcester, Iowa State, San Diego and Elon have all zoomed right past SLU.
  11. SLU's endowment per student is larger than Georgetown. Among it's peers in the US News national university rankings SLU's endowment per student is in the top 40.
  12. Pestello has been at SLU for 8 years now. During that time the school's academic ranking and endowment ranking have gone down. The US News ranking problems started under Biondi and the largest drop happened under Biondi. The endowment thing is more recent.
  13. SLU still has a top 100 endowment, but that has been dropping. SLU's investment returns were some of the worst among endowments for the last year I could find.
  14. Wasn't SLU in the 60's or 70's at one point? What happened to the MBA program ranking? At one point not that long ago it was top 40 and now has dropped to 93.
  15. I think your right. I believe the have the top Aerospace Engineering program in the country.
  16. The team will get better as the season goes along. I just worry they have put themselves in a position where they have to win the conference tournament to make the NCAA tournament.
  17. I don’t think anyone is concerned about it. I’m not. It was just the first thing I checked when I saw the name. I don’t think people noticing it means they are concerned about the kid. It is an interesting story. It is especially interesting when you contrast what happened to his dad compared to what we have today across college sports. The same federal court system that sent his dad to jail for helping direct money from shoe companies to college players has now decided that it is completely legal for those same shoe companies to sign those college players to endorsement deals and totally neutered the NCAA’s ability to enforce any rules when it comes to outside interest paying players.
  18. Yeah, that little guy always gets the raw end of the deal. Also, crazy what a difference a few years can make when it comes to get money to players.
  19. The NCAA will keep on losing in court if they go after them. People need to stop thinking of this stuff as improper. Court after court has ruled it is legal. Either you play the game or you get rolled. SLU needs a collective now.
  20. Ann Kordes’s daughter is not a toddler anymore. Maybe she is interested in moving back into the college coaching ranks.
  21. Florida is a perfect example of how football is going to dominate the NIL money at almost all the schools with football.
