I was wondering if we have any interest in Jared Swopshire. Also, does anyone have any idea what Brad Soderberg will be doing next year and if Kramer will be playing his senior season at SCW.

I think that is a little unfair to say. Put yourself in the position of a coach who is being offered a lot more money to go somewhere else. That is a life decision and goes beyond loyalty. I am sure you consider yourself loyal to the company you work for, but if another company comes to you with a better offer you owe it to yourself and to your family to explore that offer. I am sure many coaches have good intentions, but when put in a position to further their career and improve financially it is hard to turn down that opportunity. Roy, I misread your post and see that you said coaches have no loyalties that money cannot change and that pretty much sums up what I was saying.

How bout when they have Maxiell guarding the "King" in a crucial point in the game and the "King" immediately blowing by him and throwing down a monster dunk? There is no reason for Maxiell to ever be guarding Bron. He was magnificient last night and truly carried his team to victory. What a performance!!!!

I said I would be interested to see who they will get this late in the game not that I would be surprised if they land a quality head coach. I was not trying to make any comparison other than the fact that it is the end of May and they will be searching for a head coach. But not too long ago Florida was far from a college basketball power.

Tyus has the big time highlight game and wanted to take his game to a big time program. Maybe now that Donovan is gone and since his recruitment we have added a big name coach; he may reconsider. I would say the chances are slim, but just the thought of Tyus playing for the Billikens excites me. I was also wondering who his replacement will be. I mean we were talking about how late in the game SLU was when we fired Soderberg and this is a month later.

And maybe Jai could talk Mr. Tyus into taking a look as well. We can dream can't we....

I am hearing that Billy Donovan has accepted the head coaching position with the Orlando Magic. It will be interesting to see what kind of success he has with the young and talented team.

He will be a freshman in the fall.

I am a diehard SLU fan and detest SIU, but there is no arguing who the superior team has been over the past decade. Call it what you want, but anyone who saw SIU go toe to toe with KU in the Sweet 16 knows that they were legit. The best is yet to come for our Billiken's and I truly do not mind the fact that SIU has been the superior program of late because it will not last much longer.

What is the issue with a 26 year old going to Humphrey's with a couple of friends? I am sure several posters on this board, and I include myself in this, who are young professionals like to frequent local watering holes after a long day in the office. I would rather hear of Duncan stopping by Humphrey's on a Wednesday night for a drink than Jeter and A-Rod who stop by clubs in Manhattan and give dome to every dude in site.

I am not sure how you can write this kid off as a Maguire clone based on a 2 minute clip that shows him knocking down 8 three pointers. Why not say he looks like a Lee Humphrey or Drew Neitzel clone? This is all I have seen of the kid but from what I have heard this is definitely a kid who is worth a look. I am not going to draw too much of an opinion on him based on a clip on the Internet and I definitely think it is ridiculous to say he is nothing more than Maguire based on this clip. The kid is obviously a shooter, but that does not mean he will never surpass Dustin who I don't think I ever saw even draw iron. Having a guy who can knock down open 3's and can catch fire from outside is huge, just ask Donovan or Izzo.

Thanks guys, this is exactly the type of information that I was looking for. I had a friend of mine who follows high school basketball far closer than I do now tell me last summer to keep an eye out for Steve Moore that he had seen him a few times and was very impressed with his game and that he thought he would fit in nicely at SLU. I want to say he saw him play for an AAU team out of KC? Nate, what do you think of Femi John? I have not seen play too recently, but had never been real impressed by him before. I was always a fan of his teammate Roundtree though. What kind of prospect is Brandon Lockhart considered? I saw him as a freshman and thought he showed flashes, but did not have a chance to see him this past season.

I was wondering if someone could give me a quick summary of the guys we are targeting for next years class. There have been a lot of names mentioned and a lot of guys have taken visits recently, I was just wondering if someone who has been keeping track could give a quick overview. It does not appear that Nate's site has updated the prospects.

I would like to know the recruits you know who have decided against a school based on what they saw on a message board? I am not a fan of some of the garbage metz posts on here, but I think you may be overselling it a little here. And the "why don't you say it to their face" comment is completely ridiculous. If people want to post critical comments about a player or a coach or an administrator that is their prerogative.

If you are expecting Relphorde to be 6'7 you will be very disappointed when you see him.

Any relation to Karen Metzinger who works at Bradley University? Looks like you and Roy may both have family members suiting up for the Billiken's in the years to come.

If Kramer has offers out there and I am sure the majority of the schools in the Valley would love to have him why would he settle for walking on to whatever program hires his father and the only way it is at a program at the level of the MVC is if Brad goes back to being an assistant coach. Kramer is a very solid player and should make a decision for himself not based on whatever program is dumb enough to hire his father.

Well its never too soon to start planning and 18 months should give you plenty of time to drive to the campus bookstore and get a nice Billiken hat for the press conference.

I was serious when I said I will make sure to try to identify comments as jokes in the future. I did not really think about it when posting the comment about Luke and I apologize for what was meant as a joke, but may not be seen as a joke for those who may be casual fans.

I apologize, I was trying to make a joke and since I thought it was fairly well known that Luke Meyer is quite the scholar I used his name. Sorry if it came across wrong or if I tarnished his name in some way. I apologize to Luke for any harm that little comment may have caused, but I think his track record speaks for itself ala Ross Varner. I was just curious if grades have come out and if all of the guys took care of business in the class room.
