I have not received my B-Club renewal...I have received the ticket renewal..I wonder what is going on.

I saw O'Rear play and he dominated against small schools and smaller defenses...However I do not think he would have been an impact player for the Bills...He seemed to lack the necessary qualities of quickness, shooting ability from other than down under, and rebounding against athletic taller opponents.

The last recruits from K.C. were the Lillis brothers, this was back in the 1950s...Tom and Helm...Tom was a great player...He was 6'4'' and played center much of the time...He could really jump and had a good touch.

Saw on one of the Illinois H.S. sites that O'Rear will probably go to Northern Iowa...First time I heard of this...Maybe just a bad rumor.

I asked about using more screens on offense...He said they use some but some of the defenses negate it...I asked about using traps and zones against some teams and he said he is going to look into it during the off season and will probably use these next year...I asked why didn't the A10 think about doing what the Valley did to improve their RPI...He said no direction came down from the home office but he is going to bring it up at the next meeting...I asked about our poor Freethrow Shooting...He said he does not have an answer except that other teams have better shooters.

Offense---Set some screans for our 3 point shooters... Move the ball faster in the halF court with sharp passes in the motion offense (we dribble slowly and let the defense catch up)...Correct our poor free-throw shooting...Improve our offensive rebounding...Get a power forward and a 3 point shooter...Learm how to finish...Use the 35 seconds better...Develop better in-bounds techniques. Defense--- Forget the pack down scheme we are giving up too many open looks...Use the zone at times against certain teams...Use the trap defense when feasible...Block out better on defensive boards...Avoid loosing your man and giving up easy buckets as we have seen. (I think Brad needs more of an open mind on some of these things and must improve on getting his team ready to plsy.)

I saw him play 2 years ago...All I can remember is that he is very good on free-kicks...The ball sinks like mad and he can score with it from very long distance.

Nothing was mentioned about the band...Keep up the good work...It really adds to the game.

I E-Mailed CL suggesting the arena designer look at 1 additional row of seats on the floor level and 2 additional rows at the top without adding the expense of an upper deck...This could add quite a few seats to the 10,000...She replied saying they will take a look at that idea and also look at bleacher seating for the student area...She indicated they want fill space with as mcny seats as possible.

There is a place for academics and sports at SLU...What gave Notre Dame it's strong reputation?...Football certainly helped them...It is difficult to measure but cannot be denied by anyone with an open mind.

Also, I noted we had 38 minutes by two players (Drejai 27 & Polk 11) that contributed 0 points...This is a killer when we are having trouble scoring anyway as a team...Is it just me, but AD looks slow as if his injury still bothers him.

Listening to the show tonight,Brad mentioned twice, about having a 10,000 seat Arena on campus...Has it officially changed from 13,000...I think that would be a mistake...What is the status?

I agree with Dr. Bird (My Son) and thanks for the support at the game...I have never seen such a poor performance by the coaching staff and the players...Coaching is not a rocket science...Play the players that have made a contribution (e.x. the "X" game)...Do not be stubborn and follow a game plan that was not well thought out and was not working...Get an offense...Shoot free throws...What ever it takes...Some players were not motivated...Players were lost on defense...The pack defense is not working...Lisch and Liddell are not used properly...The coaches and players need to take a hard look at themselves because, we are not playing the game of basketball the way it should be played.

How about all the SLU students who commute or live in the St. Louis area?...Where are they?...I do not want to hear complaints again about the senior long time season ticket holders that do not stand through out the game...With out these loyal fans, SLU would be Division II

It is not the same team without Lisch...He makes everybody better and no one can defend like he does...His defense is worth at least 6 points.

I had to clean the seat before I could sit down...Also drinks are too expensive...The P.A. system is bad.
