Stats show Bryce getting 1 rebound every 5 minutes and Ian 1 every 4, not much difference. I think it will be interesting to see how BH plays as time goes on if he continues to get some consistant minutes. It had to be tough to sit all of those games and then all of the sudden recieve major minutes. I wonder where he would be at if he would have played 8-10 minutes minimum in all of the games.

As I remember Xavier we couldn't stop dribble penetration. Tonight we didn't contest the 3. The board says we have Front court weaknesses, which is true but isn't the cause for the last 2 games defensive problems. I believe our 2 biggest weaknesses are depth so that we can have players on the floor going hard for 40 minutes and proper game prep to be able to key on stopping the opponents strengths. Game coaching may also be suspect as we never seem to make the adjustments to stop the opponent. It seems Brad's game adjustments boil down to telling the guys to play harder. Next year looks no better as it is very tough to find impact players at this time of the year. What is the answer?

And next year we have the same team minus IV, JJ and maybe TL plus.................oh yeah nobody yet.

What I found interesting was Brad saying on the post game show that the plan was for BH to be the first big off of the bench. BH did a hell of a job for someone not playing at all in the last 6-8 games. I hope he gets the chance and can keep it up!

Bottom line and save this post and I hope you can call me a liar in 12 months- Tommy-will not be in Blue next year, no way! NADDA!! Spring recruits-We will sign 1 guard and 2 inside and none of the 3 will help much next year. Players that can contribute right away are already signed or not comming to SLU as much as we would like them to. BS is on the bubble and no recruits wants to sign amid uncertainly. Brad's last year will be 07-08 and it will be a .500 season.

Why would any of these recruits want to be a Billiken? Hope for immediate playing time? What happens when coaches from other schools take copies of Brad's post-game quotes on recruiting visits? "for the fifth straight week I have no answers" And then the questions, "Do you want to play for him?" Maybe no spring signings either, but let's wait and see who signs before we decide to get rid of BS...yea let's wait until it is too late.

"The other thing is what explanation do we have for why we were so good 2 months ago and bad now? Did Brad all of a sudden become a bad coach over the last 4 weeks?" Let's go back to the last few years, haven't Isaac, Reggie, Dreja etc. gotten in to it with coach 2/3 of the way through the season and then a poor finish? Hard to keep everyone on the same page when/if they lose respect for the coach.
