  1. we did have a clue...we trapped them once, forced a timeout, then another on the inbounds play. We pressed Joes in the backcourt late in the second half and forced another timeout...again, a clue.
  2. no,you can read it on slubillikens.com; I believe there's a link on the front page.
  3. SLU box had him 1/1 with 2 boards, 4 TOs and 4 fouls. yargh...
  4. should BC bring garlic, crucifixes and silver bullets just in case?
  5. Xavier has given me a new-found lack of confidence in numbers; no knock on you Wiz, because predicting this stuff is pretty cool. I just hope the boys are with me on this...
  6. Obi is in a smaller brace and looks more comfortable in practice...he was knocking down a few J's tonight...definitely a guy to look forward to.
  7. It is so easy that nobody can be confused about it...I think that its a great way to get a lot of noise going...I also heard it at a Cal vs. UCLA game in Berkeley. I don't remember exactly what they said, but with 91k people saying it, it was loud.
  8. Hey band guys...This came to me last night at the X game when their X-Treme(ly small) Zone and their band did a call back cheer. Has a "SAINT" call and a "LOUIS" response been tried since you guys have been around? I feel like it would be something that we could get to catch on pretty easily throughout Savvis (its simple and can escalate very quickly). ...just a thought...
  9. maybe another side dish that works especially well in conjunction with the rest of the platter? Unless he's gassy, that's my best gues...
  10. By the way, we really like seeing other Bills fans at the games when we're there...if you're around and see the Blue Crew at an away game, stop by and come yell with us!
  11. nothing happened between UB and Tommie...TL just had an off night...
  12. late answer, I know...but Lisch came out in the first half with the sleeve on, but ditched it at half-time...then he hit the floor really hard on that arm and disappeared...
  13. hahahahaha, we just walked in after studying the finer aspects of road trips, wins and 6 hour drives.
  14. excellent...that's good to hear because we were as far away as possible...I don't know if you heard the barking we were doing when Finn touched the ball, but we pissed off a lot of X fans with that one.
  15. too bad the BC couldn't see those fans in blue shirts through the rafters that we were sitting in...hopefully we could be heard to make up for it...
  16. Not especially surprising. For every stellar game Wynn had at SLU, he had another middle-of-the-road showing. No doubt that he was a great role player and did some incredible stuff on our field with that speed (plus he's a really nice guy), but I can't say I'm shocked. Remember, though, that Martin Hutton went undrafted last year, but I believe that he signed on with KC.
  17. I don't know if we really went into a stall-type offense in the closing minutes...it seemed as though Xavier brought a tougher press on both sides of the floor; we had to work harder and be more patient for looks at shots and even passes. Also, UB worked the guys to the bone in practice this week...lots of sprints, lots of passing drills too... All in all, fun game to be at.
  18. I have a few pics of the inside of the place (student section, fans, winning scoreboard, etc.) and will post them if someone would be so kind to let me in on how to do it...
  19. Amen for AD, KL and DB all being willing to take (and make) treys throughout the game to help relieve Ian of some of that pressure. The three dunks in a row were testament to our ability to shoot the ball from the floor tonight. Also, seeing it live made it sweeter...for some reason, the Xavier fans did NOT like it when we barked at Finn (he stole his gf's dog at the beginning of the year).
  20. I think I'm going to excuse myself from referee threads from now on...like I said, it sounded good in my head; somehow, after 9 hours of class... anyhow, I don't know what to say, except that if we continue to shoot like crap, we're not going to win even if we get every call in every game.
  21. I'd expect IV, JJ, AD, KL and TL at Xavier to start...I have a strong feeling that we could see that...(wink, nudge, etc). Obi's knee is getting better; he's in a smaller brace and moving and jumping with much more ease.
  22. SLU does do flyers, shirts and magnets in the beginning of the year, but doesn't press the matter very hard...
  23. My thoughts exactly...getting overlooked would represent a gain in our chances at the expense of our respect amongst one team, and I think we can afford that. Maybe even enjoy it.
