who is "them"? i was looking forward to a banquet seems a bit unfair to the seniors i guess you don't announce that you are not going to have a banquet? i hope rick takes care of the seniors in one way or another (legally) if there is no banquet are we sure there is no banquet?

-didn't his book detail that kids come and go through his program? -some kids will last under rick, some won't, just like with brad, but hopefully for different reasons -the merry go round will continue to spin, i would bet, but perhaps not as fast becasue this is where rick his getting to his roster and he will no longer have to live with brad's (insert your own word here) -your point about gonzaga is way off point as well, as you have held GU out as the model for coaching continuity - we don't have coaching continuity until moser takes over in 7 years (i hope) -and it may be wise for you to become more accepting or start to connect your own dots as we may never know the total of the situation as to why a kid leaves so you will be in limbo about being able to find your acceptance

that strategy sure paid off for the other coaches to this point with respect to cotto and cassity

we should not play games only scrimmage against ourselves you are so right the world is a 6 block by 3 block or whatever the measurements are area in midtown stl

how many games did you see in Missouri? more specifically, how many times did you see the kids you want to kick off the 3rd Team versus how many times you saw kids you want to take their place? from a while back, how many times did you see Bryant Allen play?

-it is my understanding vball will be played in one of the practice gyms and they are putting in some bleachers to accomodate that -at this point i don't have a problem with that as it means the bball court can be devoid of the metal circles used to support the vball net -pure hoops on the main floor, i think and hope -closer to the court with vball players, potentially very very dangerous!!!

JHC - so you let a recruit go around with a player with a gun???? come on pinkel hey griffster or someone - how much time away from coaches is there during a recruiting visit? and can that time be spent anywhere? i wonder if the girl was a tiger hostess? and maclin - keep your nose clean, you have millions awaiting you if you do it right

i thought that about this season, clearly not the case for this year hope so for next season!!!

-i watched espn yesterday mainly to see how knight would do and what his role would be -i enjoyed his performance (I was NOT a fan of his coaching antics) and thought he brought the following to the show -objectivity-mainly in the debate of bcs vs others, while vitale and bilas were trying to get vatech in over ill st by saying no way ill st goes 9-7 in the acc, knight said you don't know that because it did not happen -sanity- he said and surprising to me the other "experts" did not get it, there is no established criteria for getting an at-large bid and that frustrates coaches as you don't know what you need to do (he also said in response to vitale saying that a selection committee job is thankless something like no way, it is a plum job that they all want and some of the past members don't have a clue) -was interesting to me how bilas esp would in an arguement for 1 team use rpi to extoll a team and then use rpi against the next team not from a bcs conf -vitale continued yesterday to shill for the acc, he didn't knwo what to say when his favorites duke lost,, i understand espn is paying the acc to do their games/tourney, but shouldn't he at least try to be objective in a debate about which school is more deserving as he always takes the acc then power conf school? -it is my beleif if vitale had his way the non bcs would be eliminated from tourney, imo that would be horrible as a lot of the tourney is made up cinderella -i think vitale will scream for change if/when a 16 beats a 1 (esp if the 1 would be duke!!) -watching the duke game there was a scramble for a ball going out of bounds, duke guy flies in a cross body blocks the clemson guy when his hand touches the ball so out on clemson, vitale goes crazy over the effort and passion of the duke players and says that was a good call to give duke the ball, the son of a ***** almost broke the guy's hip and it is not a foul?? it was a good call?? give me a break -at least he won't be doing games after today until next year

and he complained about the impact/huge presence of the internet!!!!! along with aau coaches, shot coaches, personal trainers

from my notes - this may get long -i suggest if you did not hear it, listen to it as i at least learn something everytime he talks -overall impression is there is a bond between BM and RM (would have to be quite a large one), they appear to me more than coach to columnist -started with knight on espn and said he wants to see knight interact with bilas as it is different when you have coached -indebted to sr class on how they did things -GW game no way to advertise we need a shooter (reminded me of mizzou and paul o'liney) -key players for next season TL and KL - BE to be determined by BE - PE "offered scholarship for next year" (key words??) -"see where AK and other guys are" - i took to mean as far as coming back -guys left campus and he is recruiting -trying to break through with local recruiting - got Femi and came in 2nd on a couple and working on a couple more -asked for fan's patience as you can't do it all at once but he is committed to it and excited to do it -good group of recruits signed and hopes for 1 or 2 more (these 1or 2 seem down from previous comments about this) -sometimes your team is better if you don't have a hughes but all the guys come together (sum greater than parts) -said next year 4,5 or 6 freshmen -going to vegas for 2 game tourney -should play mizzou -did extend with siu and tyring to with mosu -was asked by caller if he tries to adapt to team he has or implement the system and he said this yr he adapted more than running the system -to run his system need better post play, wants more fast break, inside to outside, nba ball screens with motion -TL and KL only 2 players he working with next week -he did not know about sunday's media event at -his term - The Fitz
