As long as RL can still pass out of the post, play adequate D, rebound and be an outside threat, the Bills will be fine. Our guards are legit and we should not need to rely on RL to carry us at any point this season.

If Carter is going take minutes from MM or JJ then not only is he is complete stud but an incredibly fast learner. MM and JJ get it on D, they get it on Oh-fence and they are only going to improve. Their play in the tournament was nails and I just cannot see KC coming in and being better than 2 juniors who competed and in some cases outshined the starting guards from Memphis and Mich St. I do not view this as a DE situation because DE didnt not have the guys in front of him who were the caliber of MM or JJ. I am not ready to relegate JB to 5 mins/gm either. If you ask JB, I would bet he expects to be in the regular rotation next season also. I am not doubting RM's statement that KC is a better incoming freshman than KM, but I do not think a freshman KM would get 10 minutes on this 2012-2013 bills squad either. Not a knock at all on KC. Nice find Metz. It is very easy to win 25+ games every year when you only have to "get up" for 3-4 games a year. Butler and VCU are going to be middle of the pack in my opinion. Wait until VCU has to go play at @SJU, @Dayton or even in terrible Olean. No longer will they be putting Dec-Feb on cruise control as they whip up on Towson, William and Mary, James Madison, and Georgia St. VCU circles George Mason on the calendar every year (scary). People who are anointing VCU and Butler has A-10 favorites could be very surprised when they look at the standings in late February. I cannot wait for RM to coach circles around Shaka. -Nick

Put me in the minority as liking this pick up. He sits out a year. Looks already to have a D1 ready body so he can really concentrate on competing and learning in practice. If we would have plucked him out of high school averaging 25 points and 10th ranked PG in California we would all be excited. When people see he came from central michigan they immediately disrespect him. If he was a transfer from a bottom rung Big East school everyone would be applauding. McBroom and Keith Carter will be Sophomores when McCall and Jett are Seniors. Looks like all part of the master plan to me. In RM I trust.

This strikes me as a homerun hire. Not an assistant, not an up and comer. Frankly I am shocked. I like our chances for respectability.

I think that Draymond is there only player and it showed. Appling does not impress me at all. MSU showed why it was considered the weakest 1 seed. Our "good" loss doesnt really look that good now after MSU gets drubbed by UL.
