  1. My brother says willie walked in with about 14 minutes left in game.
  2. Anybody else notice the knee wrap and see him limping to the bench a couple of times Wednesday? Has he been having problems? Hopefully nothing serious.
  3. "Austin Peay's Justin Blake missed a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left, but the Governors (6-6) still had the ball out of bounds with .7 seconds left in overtime. They couldn't get off a shot, although the Governors' bench was calling for a foul on the play." Why didn't SLU have these refs working our game against them?
  4. Quite a thread. Think some people owe the good Doc some apologies.
  5. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for Patty. He was a wonderfully-unique individual with a thirst for life and a passion for Billikens' basketball. An optimist to the end, he was still calling for an NCAA tourney season. For those of you that knew Patrick, there is a Memorial Mass Friday, November 5th at 10:30 am at College Church. We'll be celebrating the life of an authentic spirit, as original as they come. Mike Wessel
  6. I think he meant out of Illinois, Mizzou, SLU. He wouldn't show SMS games this time of year. I don't think many people in STL know, or care, that SMS is still playing.
  7. Watched the game at JBucks downtown. Rene Knott showed up and watched the 2nd half. I told him not to be too harsh on us on the 10pm and try to raise a crowd for Wednesday. He agreed the refs were a little rough tonight. He also mentioned we were the only Missouri team still playing, so he hoped the crowd will be big on Wednesday. Let's bring the noise on Wednesday!
  8. It would be nice to get a big crowd, but for as small as last week's crowd was, they were into the game and fairly loud. It was a crowd that followed the Bills and wanted to be there. Nobody told me to sit down and some people around us joined in our chants. Plus, it's nice being able to check out different sections of the arena than my usual season tickets. Now if only we could get everybody to move down to the first 20-25 rows around the court and fill them up, I think we could really bring the noise.
  9. Nate, do you think the McRoberts kid could play D1 somewhere?
  10. let's hope you make it out of that airport, brother.
  11. Thanks, Thomas. Great article. I really like this kid.
  12. Oh boy, I think he was trying to post this on another team's website.
  13. Gaston looked talented, but gave up early in the second half. He was jogging and spent a lot of time shaking his head.
  14. It's not real close to SLU, but there's the Shangri-la Diner if you like a bit of flair. It's great for breakfast or lunch (hit it before a 1 o'clock game?). Funky decor, owned by a friendly hippy, and always happy to have your business. It's on Cherokee, just east of Jefferson, down by Lemp. Check out the website: http://www.theshangriladiner.com/menu.html And just a heads-up, cash only.
  15. Went to Square One in Lafayette Square last night. There were at least 12 or so Bills fans in 3 or 4 different groups. They were all wearing Bills gear. It was good to see.
  16. Haha. User comment on the Belmont game blog: "dadgum willie reed is like god" http://belmontbruins.cstv.com/sports/m-bas.../121409aaa.html
  17. Saw this on the front page of yahoo.com http://www.ksdk.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=191579
  18. 2 things: First, I sit behind the band guy who holds up the "who cares" signs, so I never know what to yell. I know you don't have much time between intros, but if possible do a quick 360 or something. Second, we really need to figure out a way to get the lyrics to Hey Baby out there. You guys come up with some very clever stuff, but 75% of the arena can't hear you. I guess there's no easy way to get the lyrics to the larger audience, but it'd be great if we could. What were last night's lyrics?
  19. Billfan05, You guys did a great job last night. It's great watching your enthusiasm. I'm glad we didn't hear the bullsh*t chant, at least I didn't where I was. I like the bad call, bad call, bad call you did.
  20. I loved Conklin's pick in the back court for Kwamain 2 minutes into the game. The Nebraska player was rubbing his head for the next minute or two. I was pretty disappointed when Conklin set up for another in the 2nd half and Christian didn't run his man through it. The kid is a beast.
  21. Don't leave out the guy (bald spot) next to Joe Buh, Scotty Highmark.
  22. Barry's also been to both games.
  23. I didn't see this talked about, so I hope I'm not repeating anything. Does anybody know who the tall white guy on campus this weekend was? He looked to be 6'10-11 and fairly thick for a young guy. Eckerle was showing him around campus yesterday and today he was sitting alone in the front row behind the Bills bench. Any info?
  24. I don't know if this is mentioned in the meet and greet thread, I don't feel like sifting through the latest argument. On Ramsay's show yesterday, he mentioned the meet and greet at the Jewel of Midtown. He said that it was a great event with 600-800 people there. He gave props to the SLU band and the Saintsations. He said that Big Rick was as entertaining as ever, "...though I have to say, Coach with an open mic with no one there to moderate is more dangerous than Coach at an open buffet."
  25. Bills advertisement on 101.1 this morning. Bob Ramsay telling about double-header Friday. Apparently it's $10 for the ticket to both. At the end he gave a little roar.
