Charlotte probably would bump us to fourth, but very interesting figures. Looks like we're heading to a garage league compared to the packed houses we're used to seeing at Memphis, Louisville, etc. I can't wait for the Big East to implode in five years.

How 'bout a Billikens.com get together to see our guys play? A nice Sunday afternoon on campus to watch a baseball game and then we retire to a saloon somewhere afterwards...that nice spring weather is right around the corner.

KFNS just reported that Reggie is back at practice!

Are we wearing throwback uniforms or doing anything special for ESPN Classic? Or is it just that they show normal games on Classic now because they have to show re-runs of TILT on ESPN? Perhaps we should do away with the 3-point shot and the shot clock one night just for ESPN-Classic.

His shooting last night was tremendous. Way to go IO! It's fun to watch a guy consistently knocking down shots like that. How 'bout those 3 pointers IPFW were hitting? Wow! Without those, we really blow them out.

When our floor is unavailable for practice, why doesn't Brad load up a bus and take the team to Vashon, or DeSmet, or Althoff, or any number of high schools in the area that might have someone on their team we'd like to recruit. Hold a practice in their gym. This would impress the kids and build relationships with the coaches. It may even result in a few more Billiken fans. I think we should do this even if our floor is available.

I just assumed that SLU and Notre Dame both had to play them this year as a favor for hosting that NIT game last year. I don't think we had much of a choice in the matter.

14,000 sounds about right. Let's add an ice rink and try to bring back the glory days of Billiken Hockey! Now that would be cool. Plus the students could use it for open skating sessions during down time.

Willie, what else happened at the meeting? Anything exciting? I don't mind the Charter deal. But that's because I get charter. It does limit the viewing audience. They should also stop televising so many home games. If people can't say, "Oh, I'll just stay home and watch it." then they might come out to the games.

I wish SLU could get as good of coverage in the Post-Dispatch as Althoff gets in the Belleville News-Democrat. I always enjoy reading those articles.

You're right! That was pretty good. I just walked out of there so upset over the outcome of the game. I probably blame the officials too much, but they really hacked me off again. How many close losses have we had endure this season?

Yeah, you're right. However, I think that had more to do with the fact that it was a Saturday night and a good opponent than anything else. There was more time for my pre-game warm-up at Kellie O'Tooles. I did enjoy the new P.A. announcer, but he probably won't be back anytime soon as I'm sure Guy just had a prior commitment. I didn't even know about the bobbleheads until it was too late. (Although I managed to snare one anyway).

1. Seeing Tom and Reggie have to practically miss out on their entire senior seasons due to injuries and other circumstances beyond their control. 2. Not seeing ground broken yet for the new arena that we've been promising our recruits they would get to play in. 3. Seeing no improvement in the areas of marketing and game day atmosphere as a result of a new athletic director.

I also liked the P.A. guy. I heard that he's the announcer from the womens games. I liked his enthusiasm.

I like the logo with the Billiken in a seated position with his feet sticking out. Like the statue outside of West Pine. That's a classic.

BRoy, you say that you rarely see a player's shooting ability improve at this level, but doesn't it seem like we've seen some regress? I remember last year thinking how great a shooter Reggie was. I guess he's just too marked of a man to be as effective this year, but it sure is frustrating. AD used to be able to knock down shots also. Now I cringe when he puts one up.

I get to see Alan Iverson against Yao Ming wednesday evening. I'm pretty excited. Should be fun. But, I'm so glad that when I get back to my hotel room, I'll be able to read all about the Billikens road win over Houston. I love this board!
