  1. They have a great backcourt duo in Mo Rice and Carl Elliott. Rice if i am not mistaken had the most points in Philly HS hoops history not bad with the HS bball history that city has.
  2. So VTime, is TAMU and Acie Law still going to lose to your beloved Tigers? I thought they were a sleeper team in the Big12?
  3. I agree with Roy's comments about KL and TL needing to have about 40-50 pts a game for us to win. When those games don't happen, I don't trust IV picking up the slack with points as it's clear opposing teams collapse the lanes and make it hard for him to get one-on-one coverage in addition to his awful FT%. Each passing game I am seeing DP's play decrease on the offensive side. With all this being said, DB and LM need to ante up and from their averages of 5ppg (DB) and 10ppg (LM). If DB can get up to 7-9 and LM and get to 11-12, I think we can see our Bills making some late season noise. GOT TO WIN IN PHILLY next week.
  4. This is where our staff needs to tell this kid that if he wants to be a role player on a middle of the road big12 team have fun and call Lance, but if he wants a chance to play and play right away with starter minutes like he said he wanted to about 10 times in that interview welcome to STL.
  5. I guess to follow-up with my point about the Houston game not mattering, I believe that we have to focus on our A-10 games and those have a higher weighted value at this time. While a win at UH would be great, I just see the SJU and GW games as absolute must wins. The NCAA committee also places a lot of weight on a team's last ten games. In the grand scheme of things, our beloved Bills might be peaking and getting healthy at the right time, when the games mean more and have higher implications. It's time for KL and TL to start asserting themselves as the guys to carry the team down the stretch.
  6. I don't see the Houston game as a must-win for the simple fact if we lose it's not an RPI killer much like SBU and Duq were to the RPI. I think the game that has the most riding on it is the St Joes game for the mere fact that looking at going to URI and to XU is a tough stretch, we HAVE to beat St Joe and GW. It is not out of the question to beat either XU or URI, but both wins would be a major accomplishment.
  7. AK would not get 7 rebounds a game in 24 minutes as a freshman, Ian gets 8 in 32 mintues. We don't need our PF to get 15ppg, its an added bonus, we have plenty of scoring coming from KL, TL, LM those three alone should avg 45-50 ppg next season...
  8. So to my count that's 5 juco SF/PF that we are courting, along with Powell. Yima Chia-kur had a nice article on him with some high praise from his head coach: http://testing.gctelegram.com/view.cgi?cat...=story&id=46719 Thiago Cordeiro 6-9 banger: 8ppg, 7 rpg, 4.5 blks per http://www.barton.cc.ks.us/sports/mbasketb...06/TEAMCUME.HTM
  9. IV picks up his fourth, under 10 to go. Down by 10. Not looking good. TL needs to go off, or else we are cooked in this one.
  10. Down 5 with under 12 to go. Ian checks back in. TL and IV need to take it home. DB has hit some shots this half. IV needs to step it up, he has been imposing this half on the offensive end.
  11. Ian just picked up his 3rd foul, he has 16 pts. Husak time, this isn't good.
  12. Tommie had a chance to cut it to a three point lead, but missed the front end of a 1-1. Tommie is starting to dominate in the game, getting to the rim at ease. Need to have DB/DP/DM to knock down some 3s in the second half. Ian disappeared as the half went on, need to feed him the ball with their big men in foul trouble in the 2nd half. Down by 5, but could have been way worse...need to pick up on the perimeter defense.
  13. Tommie starting to get aggressive (awesome one handed dunk over a defender) but the perimeter def is awful. Down 10 with under 4 min to go in the half.
  14. LM is the only one keeping this remotely close. Tanner and Bethel killing this bills with their inside-out game. TL needs to get goin or this will be a long one to watch.
  15. SLU started out in a zone, now in man-to-man. Danny started in lue of KL. Fordhams big man Dunston in early foul trouble. Ian has 6. TL off to a slow start! LM with some early offensive boards and has 4 pts.
  16. Ken have you been to Galveston before....please don't have high hopes for this beach community. What industry you in Greece?
  17. If the game was on a Friday or weekend I'd be down but since it's a Monday night game, doesn't look good for me comin down I-45. Sounds like Penders is screwing up another university's program. Texas, GW, and now Houston. His system sells well to players as his team always score a ton and play a fast pace, they never seem to live up to their hype or talent. That Almond kid is the real deal at Rice probably an NBA talent.
  18. Just curious who all the axe Brad folks would like to be on Levick's list to interview?
  19. FromGreece this ObiPhan is just some loser who uses the Phan tag on his multiple screennames, he just copied and pasted that blurb about Obi being a top HS talent. Obi would have been lucky to be 6th all Houston his junior or senior season. He was deemed a project from the get-go because of his knee. This Phan probably couldn't even tell you where Missouri City is located.
  20. I guess the hiring of Angres Thorpe and Walker aren't steps from Brad to find assistants who have local or area connections? Everyone also seems to forget his son is one of the top juniors who plays with some highly skilled players on his AAU team and Brad has constant access and his son selling SLU to kids. Cajun I guess we should all give respect to TK for correctly posting Ian was as good as gone? How many posts as TK had since he looked like a fool back in the summer, but he shows up when they lose two conference games and now we are to respect his "insider information"?
  21. I don't get how people write of Maguire and Knollmeyer less than 15 games into their collegiate career. By all accounts Knollmeyer will log significant minutes next season and has shown signs this season as being an effective post banger and Maguire definately has offensive talent, was he not a first team all metro area player last year? Sure Dixon was a bust but he signed late into the season and nearly everyone who saw him in practice was raving at his raw talent, would you not error on a guy who is 6'8 and proclaimed the best athlete on the team? I agree that BS needs to be held to a higher Win/Loss and tournament expectation, but we still have a ton of conference games left in a weak A-10, so there is still hope for an automatic bid, and if we get to the dance anything is possible just ask George Mason.
  22. 12-4 loses to: @ XU @ St Joe @ UD @ UMASS Should give us a 2-3 seed in the conf tourney. I'd be shocked if we are not in the conference tournament championship game.
  23. If I am not mistaken there was a rumor of a European big man from an Illinois JC as well as a juco PF who played HS ball in Michigan.
  24. Reading the UW board, sounds like this guy is some kinda athlete who has immense ability but struggled in Bo Ryan's system. Assuming he comes here, he would be able to help out in Jan for a-10 season. Sounds like a Reggie Bryant type player. Would be nice to have on the perimeter with TL and KL.
