I agree with Roy to an extent, that recruiting rankings generally are not the best way to get info on a player. However, I am very intrigued with this upcoming class being more apt to contribute right away than this class. While BT and KC may develop into solid players, I think with their time in international play Ellis and Salelich will be able to contribute much faster than the rest. I dont necessarily agree with their review on Remekun from the two times I have watched. I don't think I can count on one hand how many shots he has taken 10 ft away from the basket. Cory needs to redshirt and put on about 10-15 pounds and he will be quite the 4-man we have been seeking to compete with some of the big boy programs.

ESPN on their SLU page has the rankings of next years crop of players. Jon Smith has the highest grade and they have very positive things to say about our Aussies especially Ellis. It appears to me that the incoming class on paper as a whole may be more impressive then our frosh this year. Any disagreement?

Considering we have been blown out twice, by two of the top teams in the A10 on the road already, I just don't see how we keep it close, especially shorthanded (Mitchell/Thompson). UD 68 SLU 50 If Mitchell is healthy for Fordham, I think we might see our first road victory of the season Saturday in NYC.

A-Bomb, you are correct, Mesquite has 2 other kids signed with D-1, Vaughns is going to George Mason and Hallam is going to Univ Of Denver. Mesquite is ranked in the top ten in the city and plays uptempo, you should try to catch them once the playoffs start here in about 4 weeks. It seems each yr Dallas Jesuit sends more kids to SLU. It probably helps that the president was a Billiken.

Maybe the below article will get people feeling a little better. Cory has been playing very well since Xmas. His team beat a very talented DeSoto team last week in which he led his team in scoring with 17 in a 50-49 victory. The article below is reference to a holiday tournament. Remekun is the third option on his team and their team plays a pretty tough schedule. If he grows an inch or two and adds about 15-20 pounds he will be one heckuva force in the paint in the A10.
