  1. All those highly regarded recruiting classes with minimal results.
  2. Is "boi" how Australians write "boy"? You know like how Brits spell some stuff weird like we may write "courtside" where they would write "w@nker" you know they mean the same thing but just are spelled a little differently. As in, (British Dude) "Did you read w@nker's posts today, bloody 'ell with that bullocks about watching the side." (American Dude) "Nah, bro I ain't got time for courtside." Anyway I'm not sure if I want anyone that makes those little faces with punctuation marks. I gotta' seriously re-evaluate this offer.
  3. You defend DD so much. The defense is always along this vain. So many games could have ended up in a SLU W but they didn't. DD is on the losing side far too much. This is not a world-beater Tulsa team either they are 4-4-2. How many excuses must we hear? DD doesn't have it he needs to go.
  4. Memphis has been off and on in football lately so that would fit in with the rest of the Big Least teams. I haven't been to one of their stadiums but I gotta think Memphis' facilities are equal to most of those other teams. Hopefully it happens. They must be serious about it hiring a big name consultant.
  5. The way these things work in the media and the USG is that one person supplies some incorrect information and then another dude cites that dude who then is cited by someone else and then pretty soon you have multiple sources to back up a piece of bad information. However, it is really just everyone citing each other on the initial piece of bad info. It would be tough to get into classes this late but some arrangements could be made to prep him. Papers for some classes will be due anytime now the first quizzes etc.
  6. Dude don't you realize that Gray-Miller's 07-08 team was ranked #22 in the nation!* *in FT%
  7. 1. Billikens Final Four 2. Braves World Series 3. Auburn BCS Championship 4. Cowboys Superbowl 5. Kentucky Derby 6. World Cup 7. Boxing big-time Fight (like Pacquiao or equivalent) I will be at the Superbowl 2011 hopefully the Cowboys will be there too. I should be at the Final four 2013 in DFW crossing my fingers on SLU being there. That would knock two off the list. Biggest Sporting Event I've ever been to, besides the 1996 Missouri Lincoln Douglas Debate State Championship, was Auburn v. Alabama 2004 (AU went undefeated Cadillac had a 70+ yd TD run). Open invitation to anyone who wants to join in on my Ultimate College Football Bowl Road Trip check it out: 5 Bowls 5 Days Road Trip Jan. 1 Cotton Dallas Big 12 No. 2 vs. SEC Dec. 31 Armed Forces Fort Worth, Tex. MWC vs. C-USA Dec. 30 Texas Houston Big 12 No. 8 vs. Navy* Dec. 29 AlamoBowl San Antonio Big Ten No. 4/5 vs. Big 12 No. 5 Dec. 28 Independence Shreveport, La. Big 12 vs. SEC You can do that pretty cheap just pay for parking, grill out, buy your tix outside the stadium and split hotel/gas. I've gotten Cotton Bowl tix for $20 outside the stadium face value $90. The dates on the games are subject to change due to TV contracts etc. Last year Cotton Bowl was on JAN 2 as was the Alamobowl. I love sporting events I'm headed to a boxing match tonight ranked Welterweight Jesus Soto-Karass fighting it will be televised on Aztecas America, you guys get that right?
  8. I was disappointed with the schedule but just remembered we have one of the youngest teams in the country so taking it easy can be excused some. I'm getting really really tired of this, "next year" bit. Next year needs to come next year. 2000 was a looong time ago.
  9. I've been hoping for some new St. Lunatics music maybe the soundtrack will be good.. Decent trailer: basketball, boxing, guns....looks good.
  10. My recruiting knowledge has waned of late. Clyburn is a JUCO 3 correct? The report was thorough and positive. Thanks.
  11. That took a little while to go through and figure out who to vote for. Picking 12 was tough from that list. Picking the coaches was the easiest part.
  12. BLIKNS I felt the way you did I just wanted to go inside when I first visited. I was able to go into the store. Went to a game last year and the really great part about it is the unique feel of the game with all the nice spots in Mid-town to eat at prior or have a drink afterward. I very different feel for a game than most colleges but still very nice. It is an appealing setting for alumni that should help to raise funds once some excitement of winning basketball is mixed in.
  13. TheFan is TheFake now way that dude went to SLU. SLU is the best University on the Planet because I went there. That is how I feel and will always feel no rankings will ever change that. Many different ways to evaluate a school You may want big state school with Football Saturdays You may want a great books curriculum with with unique tests You want military/tradition You may want Catholicism, small classes, urban campus It all depends on what you want and where you fit.
  14. What if the Professor was having an affair without his/her identification badge on? That would be grounds for dismissal for sure. On to Alabama: Rammer Jammer Price Got Hammered Charged it all to AlerBammer Price wasn't their guy (the big $ boosters) they wanted to get rid of him and he never coached a game. Heard that one at AU v. UA 2004 it was pretty funny play on an old Bama cheer.
  15. What the hell is going on in the Lou? First union thugs bust up a town hall meeting now teachers taking out handicapped ushers at Busch stadium. That stuff doesn't happen in Texas because everyone carries a gun. See it really does deter violence. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stor...8D?OpenDocument PD article: "ST. LOUIS > Two accused in stadium incident 08/06/2009 A teacher at St. Margaret of Scotland School has resigned after being charged with assaulting a Busch Stadium usher who was in a wheelchair, authorities said. Bridget Matarazzi, 25, of the 6500 block of Bradley Avenue, was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly trying to push the usher from his wheelchair when he approached her at a game on Saturday evening to talk to her about her drunkenness, police said. Laura McClure, 25, who lives in the 200 block of Green Falls Drive in Fenton, also was involved in the incident Saturday and allegedly repeatedly hit a stadium alcohol compliance manager who also was there.
  16. Better coach than exec. That is not saying much at all. He was a great player but can't coach at all from what I recall. It will be interesting. Clyde the Glide didn't fare too well at Houston.
  17. http://www.slubillikens.com/sports/m-socce.../073009aaa.html Nice to see Brad doing well. The Dynamo have won numerous titles with him there.
  18. They co-opted that vid from some blog. I found it on a blog. Don't credit those fools with something creative. SLU did the right thing. I think they can plead temporary insanity. B-Report did they mention a crazy dude callin' himself A-Bomb as the reason they dropped this kid? I'm taking credit for this.
  19. I'm with Doc B on this one. You guys don't know this but I am an expert in security, biosecurity, physical security etc. I'm like a black-belt in security. Hated Paul Blart Mall-Cop because security is not a joke. Anyway, so you guys should just take my word for it, this won't enhance security at SLU unless they take it all the way close down all access points, entry control the buildings and make everyone wear an ID tag. I don't want that because it is kind of nice when in town to visit the school go to the book-store or whatever. So don't let your distaste for the Doc make you pro-ID tag. At least Doc is a basketball fan that makes him less of a tweed jacket wearing, pinko, wuss.
  20. When I heard there was no offer I wanted it to be posted everywhere so as to avoid further embarrassment. I wrote a response to the article that there was no offer. Parrish responded that he got the info on the offer from DiLoreto, DiLoreto's mom and two different coaches. He believes it was retracted. see link below: http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messages/chrono/16308930 I'm just happy there is no offer right now. I hope there never was an offer. SLU did the right thing in the end.
  21. I don't think there is an offer. See the other thread.
  22. I am extremely relieved to hear this. Even with your limited amount of posts I believe that there is no offer. I was really concerned I would have to stop being a fan. Probably one of the most upsetting things that have happened to me in my life and I've been shot at before. Yes my priorities are off but not so off that I advocate winning at all costs.
  23. Rich I would normally agree with your throwing dirt on the Ivory tower but this ID requirement is dumb. The reason to wear IDs would be to limit access to the campus and within the campus. If students don't wear IDs then how would that work. Furthermore, the doors to the classroom buildings and other facilities aren't access control only the dorms and library are last I checked. So anyone could walk up ID or not and enter Xavier Hall. The school gets so many visitors that don't wear IDs. I assume these IDs are for security purposes but it is just a superficial response to a situation at universities that most likely can't be fixed. Believe that I've got all As and one B in Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness (from SLU). Box check PMs
  24. http://www.sportingnews.com/college-basket...ummer-prep-camp DeCourcey had the story a day earlier on his blog. This is getting picked up by sports blogs all over. Thicks I contacted the AD way before your post. They can't comment of course but I am under the impression this is true. Very, very, sad but true.
