  1. Based on your grammar, if you work for the NCAA I hope it is in a janitorial or paper shredder capacity. You don't exhibit the mental acumen to deliver the mail to the right room!
  2. I hope you are right but nothing I saw last year made me anticipate Ian becoming a stud in the middle. We agree that he is tall, but that's where our agreement ends-he is overweight, slow, can't jump and not athletic. Besides all that, he is not here working with our staff getting better this summer, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't return from Greece (no inside info here, just a personal hunch).
  3. Where is the Slusignguy? We miss you.
  4. I assume you read just the headlines and probably only those in the NY Times and/or the Riverfront Times. Go Hillary and Bill! (and I mean GO)
  5. The most stupid thing they did was doing what Q told them to do!
  6. Thanks, everything I read just said she coached there.
  7. Just reported that Tony Harvey has resigned. I guess Q was the only honest coach they had. At State U. responsibility goes downward not upward as at most institutions/companies. I imagine pretty-boy Q has no more than one year left. Maybe he'll be replaced by the racist Asst AD who is somehow still on the payroll being paid by our tax $$$.
  8. That's an impressive bio, but since she is from Saint Louis we need to know, "Where did she go to high school?"
  9. I agree with you, maybe it's the timeframe but I can't even get a response to two requests for any info on the team working out together this summer. I am tired of reading about hockey and Mizzou basketball!
  10. This recruit could be insurance in case TL never wears Billiken Blue.
  11. I asked a couple of weeks ago (and got no response) if anyone had any info on players getting together on a somewhat regular basis at the WP gym. I'd like to see what the new guys look like. Any help?
  12. I guess since the Lisch verbal that there is not much to talk about. One question-does anyone know if there are somewhat formal workouts going on now where we would be able to see the team?
  13. He is listed on the U. of Denver web site as an Asst. Coach. I remember being impressed by him while watching practices. He had great communication skills and really seemed to know the game well. I never could figure out why he hasn't been named as a HC somewhere.
  14. Man it is quiet on this Board except for all the Mizzou garbage. Frank had 2 of the Bills Asst. Coaches on today at 11. Not much new but it is good to listen to Billiken talk instead of everyone dwelling on State U's mess-I guess the way to be in the news is to lie, cheat and steal. (By the way, what a contrast at State U between the clean, classy football coach and the scumbag who passes off as a basketball coach.) Not much new from Frank's show except that Tommie Liddell is taking an official visit to SLU this weekend-I'm sure that Brad would like to get a verbal from TL for next years class. As you would expect, the coaches are very high on all the new recruits. Polk is seen as contributing next year and Meyer was compared to CS but a little shorter but with better scoring ability. IV is back in Greece and all agreed that he needed to lose weight and become a better athlete-they would have preferred him to stay here and work with our strength coach. Let's hope Brad can get TL off the market this weekend-it would be nice to add his verbal to Lisch's.
  15. Torch, did you see many practices last year? I went to about 6/7 and never saw BH get more than 1 inch off the floor. I know he was a true FR last year, but he has a LONG way to go to give us as much as Heinrich. (By the way, so does IV, who moves just as slow as BH and doesn't get off the floor much higher.) Notice how often Brad kept IV on the bench at the end of the season after giving him a chance to play significant minutes earlier? He either needs to improve his foot speed and jumping ability (both tough to do) or JJ will be our backup at the 1.
  16. You guys need to dump Ch 5's Sports Plus for Ch 4's show. S Savard had a good interview with D Woolard. I just can't take a man named Rene anymore and any show that continues to have DJ and the smilin gap-toothed racist along with "I quit Floyd" and the young fightin machine McKenna clearly is aimed at a different sports fan than me.
  17. From a big time scorer in highschool to a 10-11 point scorer in JUCO. He went from being the #4 recruit in IN to an average scorer 2 years later (after a year of medical redshirt). I'm just wondering if his athletic ability has been impaired by his injury(ies). I believe I saw something about him having 2 knee operations and that makes me wonder if he has lost any of the ability that he displayed in highschool. It seems like all the very positive info we have seen on him is based on his highschool days.
  18. What excites me about Newborne is if he really plays with alot of desire like Jeff Harris and/or Donnie Dobbs that means we will have 2 high energy and desire guys in our frontcourt (Newborne and Tom F.), which will not only make us better in games but also force IV and BH to compete harder just to survive in practices.
  19. Saw in this morning's Post that Polk was the scholar-athlete from Vashon ( as Meyer was at Borgia). In Polk's capsule he cites Irons as a Role Model-sure hope Polk doesn't pull a Floyd Irons/Melvin Robinson Vashon type early exit. Let's see more of the A. Bonner stick-to-it-ness personality. It is nice that Polk admires his coach just so he doesn't admire ALL of Irons' traits.
  20. He was a walk-on and your recollection of his career is far more positive than mine. He was a nice player who could defend well but often got out of control on offense and did not have much of an outside shot.
  21. Does anyone know what his injury was? Did it affect his play and/or leaping ability? Did his injury cause his drop in scoring production? Why was he still available? He looks like a great find but I'd like answers to the above questions.
  22. Can anyone really believe that an Asst. Coach would (could) give a player $250 without the Head Coach's agreement and knowledge? You better believe that any Assistants who leave due to these charges are being taken care of by someone with ties to the U of MO program. With what Asst.s make in salary they don't go around giving players $250 of their own money.
