  1. Alden gives Snyder a vote of confidence...see link http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...dence+to+Snyder
  2. I heard last night on ESPN radio that the NCAA lifted the one year transfer for the current Baylor players. After that I heard another report where one of their players had already announced that he was going to transfer to Texas. Good for the NCAA...they are doing a good turn for these kids who should not be punished because Bliss was a lying jerk.
  3. Steve, No, I think you rock for keeping this website going for all of us crazed Billiken fans.
  4. I would be one of the people who will be shocked if Sloan isn't starting.
  5. I guess that we will have to listen to it on Thicks website if he shares the WWW address...that is, if KFNS gives him the OK to air it.
  6. I mean it does not take a freakin brain surgeon to figure out someone's name. I don't see what the big deal is...WAH!!!!
  7. Not at all...ever been to Columbia, MO Thicks? I have. It isn't exactly a big metroplis, as has been suggested, it will be fairly simple to prove many of these allegations, if they did happen.
  8. Mr. Money bags Laurie fit into this equation?
  9. Actually, as much as I could not stand Mizzou in basketball under Norm Stewart...I am not jumping up for joy with these revelations. Under Snyder, I saw them as a rival with a rivlary that would last for a long time. If this proves to be true then Mizzou will be in for some NCAA probation time...perhaps stiff penalties. Could there be another Big 12 school looking for a HC before October?
  10. Lobo, What is amazing to me is some of these HC's are media darlings. Franchilla was one of them, Seth Greenberg is another. The thing that I find funny is that they can't coach their way out of a wet paper bag. Greenberg never did beat a Top 25 opponent his entire tenure at USF.
  11. Lobo, I agree with your take that Bliss was on SLU's list at the time of the Romar hire. Another name that came up during that time period was the then former St. John's HC Fran Franchilla (Sp?).
  12. The one that I fell over LMAO was the Q take. We should all remember our 1st job, and it is understandable that one might take shortcuts...not! For cripes sake, Snyder has a freakin law degree from Duke, so don't try and infer that he doesn't know exactly what he is doing. If Ricky C. was paid as the ex girl friend seemed to allege last week then Snyder and Ol Mizzou are in deep do do with the NCAA. We'll see how this plays out, somehow I don't think we've heard the last of the Ricky C. fiasco!
  13. Was there any doubt that T & T was coming back? Heck, he's only had a little extended vacation. Welcome back T & T, I am sure that your posts will be fair game now as they were before.
  14. At the Mizzou vs Nebraska game, as Nebraska fans travel to all away games in droves. The idea of the Nebraska local Alum group is not a bad idea. My wife is a Vol Alum and we just got a notice from the local Tampa UT Alum group about tickets available for the Miami vs UT game at the Orange Bowl, and we now have 4 tix. There has been days (even for Nebraska) where folks have purchased tix in Columbia on the day of the game outside the stadium. However, I suppose one could be taking a chance this year as Mizzou's football team is showing signs of turning the corner under Pinkel. Not sure when the Nebraska game will be played but if Mizzou was undefeated going into that game then the tix on the street could be both harder to get and a bit pricey. I have paid as little as $5 for a ticket outside Faurot within the last 7-8 years, but I am sure that this year's Nebraska game will be at least face value purchase.
  15. With 3Star and p diddy in that there should be plenty of wing talent to choose from and it is not the end of the world if Meyer isn't wearing Billiken Blue next year. I also ain't going to get hung up over where the SLU wing recruits calls home either. If he is an area kid, fine, but I refuse to lose sleep over it if he comes from outside the metro area.
  16. Alive, well and on vacation. Yesterday, my lovely wife Shari and I had dinner with Roy and his lovely wife Anita at a Tampa restaurant. It was great meeting Roy and his wife and discussing one of our most favorite topics, Billiken Basketball. FYI...I did not find Roy to be a bitter man at all, LOL! It is always great meeting up with people from our home town and getting to know them much better. I would enjoy meeting any of my Billiken cyber amigos whenever you are in the Tampa, FL area.
  17. It's not just the tigerboard...I see some of the same stupid comments made by MU supporters made on Bernie's Press Box. They are either in total denial or perhaps they are of the ilk to favor what the Execs at Enron did.
  18. Seems to me that I read early on that Coach Soderberg either visited Shaw or had him/his parents too over to the SLU campus. Coach is pretty close mouthed about his recruting as to specifics and I like it that way. I'm not too sure that we could surmise that we have blown anything without knowing all of the particulars, IMHO.
  19. I think Matt Shaw would look good in the Billiken Blue and White.
  20. I'm also looking for Josh to have a nice Sr. season. I keep remembering that he played at one of the finest basketball HS in the Seattle area. Mercer Island HS is coached by the legendary Ed Pepple who has coached them to 4 state titles and a number of runner up finishes. If memory serves me right, Josh was player of the year in his Sr. year at Mercer Island. He will assume a leadership role with this year's Billiken team.
  21. What...a little cyber romance in full bloom? Steve, no blushing allowed.
  22. CentFLBilliken, That wasn't me for as I am typing this message, I am still in Tampa,FL. I leave in a couple hours for a weekend in Orlando. Tonight I am going to House of Blues to see Ziggy Marley. The earliest chance I would get to see any BBall would be Saturday evening, that is, if my family lets me skip out of Universal Studios? By the way, there has been some talk that I have heard from my St. Louis sources that Monroe Douglas Jr wants to play so bad for SLU that he may walk on. Apparently, he is a smart kid and could possibly be in line for an academic scholie.
  23. Did both AD and Reggie shoot with decent accuracy? IMHO we need to improve our outside shooting next year and these two players will be important.
  24. CentFLBilliken, Thanks for the report...I am going to be in Orlando over the weekend. I am staying at a resort called Westgate Lakes that I was told is near Sea World. Are the games being played in the Disney complex? Not sure if I can break away from the theme parks, but may try if the Eagles would play in the evening.
