  1. If you are going to criticize the program you have to do it everyday. Don't just come here and make threads after a loss. Be like me and knock it every day until a change is made.
  2. Great effort by the team. Parker went down. Wyoming clawed back to within 3, I thought we were in for a Travis Meltdown. Thames, Hughes, & Dalger hit big shots. I had this game as a loss so we are one up for me. Thames has really taken another step. He was great defensively. He is a do it all player. If Parker is out, very much in favor of him starting.
  3. This is just the same story we've heard over and over again. Anytime SLU's HCing position is up a local HS coach must be considered. It has made us seem small time for decades. Tatum doesn't have enough qualifications to be the head coach here. Why would we need local recruiters. We have Corey Tate already. Everyone locally loves Tate. Has he gotten us the best STL players? Not even close. Tatum can't do better. He isn't close to being that liked or respected.
  4. Your right guys with --No experience --Volatile personality --Poor history with SLU --Overblown local and recruiting connections Usually become great hires. I'd rather keep Ford.
  5. Tatum wasn't even 3 when Justin quit playing for SLU. Justin was no fan of SLU when he left or much of the time he played here. I don't know about this timeline.
  6. Tatum would be a terrible HC for SLU. He would be a worse Asst.
  7. Has SLU ever won a Director's Cup under May? I can't find year by year records for the A10. Also wondering why "Fire May Fire Ford" posts are derided, the vast majority of the board are decidedly anti May/Ford. While posts that are "Ford & May are great" are not met with such scrutiny by the vocal minority even though they are a constant presence in every thread. Also, why do the Pro Ford/May posters always preemptively bring up "Fire May, Fire Ford" topic? The other side almost never brings it up?
  8. So is posting the 21 times we made the tournament. There was no context there either. Why does mine need context? Just pointing out some simple math that sadly I cannot type in correctly.
  9. Or SLU plays 15 scholarship sports. Teams have had 240 chances to make the NCAAs since May took over. They have made it 21 times. So teams during May's tenure have made the NCAAs at a whopping rate of 8%
  10. Parker is a hot head. He has a history of getting techs and ejections in JUCO and now has done it in two games early in the season. I can't hear what he says on the court but he's really bothering the opposing team and the officials. Regardless of the veracity of the offenses, speaking from a referee standpoint, a player like that has a target on his back. He will be watched very closely by the officials every game and won't be given the slack that other players get. The opposing team will also look for ways to get him in trouble. These techs and ejections will be part of the scouting report going forward.
  11. Sincere did get several technicals called on him in JUCO and was ejected in two games, while also being suspended a couple games for fighting. Not exactly an isolated incident. Not saying he did anything wrong just saying.
  12. G league draft picks rarely make their rosters. Europe and Australia will be calling. He should have no shortage of options.
  13. Will you please block me. You don't know basketball at all. They miss the easy shots because they both had multiple shots blocked and altered at the rim. Both had dunk attempts blocked. When that happens you tend to miss even wide open shots afterward. Its called rim protection.
  14. We shot pretty awful from the rim because of their bigs. Give credit to TJ who did work on the O boards.
  15. I have never/will never bet on SLU to lose. When I see spreads that are way out whack I will take that money though. Guess when the Wiz's computer model projects us to win by less than the vegas line he's not a fan either. Stay on that high horse. BTW I will pledge 25% of my winnings this season on Billikens games to the BVF. How about you match my donations superfan?
  16. No they didn't. I hope everyone makes a lot of money on this board betting against SLU this season.
  17. As far as I know Ferry was more a local star. He didn't have the offers that Macauley and Boushka did. Maybe he was a 4 star, as opposed to a 5. Macauley, Boushka, Hughes were 5 star best in the country prep stars. Ferry was actually a big baseball star at Cleveland hs.
  18. Don't underestimate USI's bigs. They would all start ahead of our guys, even the ones not eligible yet.
  19. If you can find a 17+ point spread put your money on Southern Indiana. Billikens will win by no more than 12. Book it.
  20. My philosophy is the exact opposite of this. SLU in over 100 years has had three top ranked recruits, Macauley, Boushka & Hughes. If we could keep one of those guys for 4 years fine, invest the money. We in no way need a top recruit to field good teams. Our best teams have had a collection of 2-3 star recruits. We don't need one NBA player, we need 5 guys on the roster capable of being Euro pros. You get 5 guys like that and we are winning A10 titles and making tourney runs. That is what we had with the good spoon teams and that is what we had with the good Majerus teams. These type of players are much easier to acquire. Simply ignore the top 50 STL recruits. We don't get any of them no matter what.
  21. How many times did you see him in HS? Once, twice? How many times did you watch him on the Eagles? I'm betting not once as outside of coaches and parents fans are sparse and you are lucky if you know where they are playing.
