  1. Why????? They're already a laughing stock. Anybody get any of that collectable "gold gear"
  2. Dan Fogelburg????? One of my favorite rants from Dennis Leary: People are suing heavy metal bands because the music is making them attempt suicide? Does that mean I can sue Dan Fogelburg for making me a pu$$y in the 70's....YOUR HONOR! Between Dan Fogelburg and James Taylor I didn't get a bj until I was 26 years old!
  3. He wasn't that bad. He bulked up a good bit and was moderately servicable by his senior year for everything but free-throw shooting.
  4. Hey If Paige still wants her name on an arena....I think we'd accept a $70,000,000 to fund the whole kit and kaboodle.
  5. I thought about sekue too as soon as I read "Macauley" Or how about the larry SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSimmons center. or Jamal WALKERENA????........
  6. I think we all go through a busy with life/lurking phase from time to time. (glad to hear about the recent logon though)
  7. Maybe he's standing in line somewhere for the exciting concluding episode of Star Wars.
  8. O'rear is a great name. We'd need to bring Donnie Dobbs back to teach him the patented "booty bump."
  9. What are you going to do. It's Wisconsin. PC heaven. This is priceless. The they better watch out for the pro-mineral community. I understand that the potassium lobby overruled that choice.....
  10. You will never be taken seriously again goofball.
  11. You are a troll, based on your entire body of work not just this thread. I'm a bit of a soccer troll myself, once in a while. No problem with that really. We just should call a spade a spade, detective.
  12. If you can't see the loss of Tom and Reggie as nearly impossible to overcome I have no time for you. Tom wasn't Shaq but he was one of the best centers to play for the Billikens since I've been watching them. Ian stepped up and was servicable but not yet great. Losing Reggie was almost worse in that he was still here but not as capable as we knew he could be. Take Deiner from Marquette or Reggie and Tom from the Bills and we'll suck. Take two starting seniors at random from most programs and they'll likely suck. Take two starting seniors off a rebuilding team that was humped as hard as we were by Romar's defection and I'll guarantee you they'll suck. You are a troll
  13. With respect, your last comment about Frerick leads me to believe you are acting as a troll rather than a serious poster.
  14. This year and next are the make or break years for Brad's system. With next year being the much more important of the two. If in two years we are looking back at two years of losing ball Brad will (deservedly) be on the Pizzoti express to loserville. Till then you can ***** and moan with me joining in the chorus from time to time as well. We don't have any choice. I, at least this time, would prefer to be optimistic given the kids we do have coming in and Brads track record.
  15. If X was a truely dominating player, isn't there a program a ways down highway 70 that always seems to need guard help and seems to have no concerns with team chemistry despite complete lack of it???????
  16. Wasn't Rapp the guy that made the Cardinals lose the freaky 70's 'dos while coaching the Cardinals? Is Brad the SLU equivalent???? After all even Reggie lost his cornrows last year. What kind of 'do is X sporting these days?????
  17. I've wanted JJ to be the answer at the 4 since he's gotten here but he hasn't earned the playing time in Brad's eyes. He's been suspended and has seen limited playing time. Why do you continually defend him to the bone? Thus far he's been a disappointment. Hopefully he'll get it together this year and next but we do need to recruit a power forward as we cannot count on him. If Kewain Gant can be as effective as Chris Sloan or Matt Shaw I'd take him.
  18. I'm not dissing Danny, I just vomited out the first 4 guards that came to mind including Meyer who has the moxie to play little power forward. I don't discount Polk either.
  19. I think we could win a few games in the a-10 with Lisch, Liddell, Price, Meyer, and Ian. We do need help year after next though as Newborn will be gone. Hopefully we'll see a transfer/foreign/juco/prep power forward this class as well
  20. Again, Brad's call. I don't follow Purdue hoops enough to know if Xavier was or wasn't green lighted to fire at will. If you took a look at luke Meyer's stat line for the first half of last season, you wouldn't expect much production from him this year. Regardless of how many attempts he took, Xavier has a good percentage from the three point line and should more than adequately replace Clarke, should Brad want him. I will not be po'd if he dosen't come, assuming we've got bigger (or more useful) fish on the line.......
  21. I don't see too many negatives (or negative posts)about Xavier coming here. I'd love to see him in Billiken Blue. There are a couple questions which occur however. Does he have the Braditude to succeed as a Billiken? Also does Brad want him? Carfully parsing the words of the coaching staff could lead you to believe that we either aren't interested or it's all but a done deal. With Darren leaving it would seem to be no-brainer IF..........
  22. A day care next to a frat house????? The dead gator had to be the least of anyones worries......
  23. What kind of self respect do you have if your are teaching Recreation leadership for an outfit like Barton. I hope the teachers WERE getting kickbacks. Otherwise they have to be the most pathetic people on the planet.
  24. Granted an indictment isn't proven yet but I'd still be afraid of the big bad wolf if I were Mike Alden and pretty boy Q..... "The Wolf indictment demonstrates Missouri's benign neglect regarding Pulley, who had to pull off some uncharacteristic mental gymnastics to get eligible. He arrived at Barton County in the summer of 2002 with a 1.0 grade-point average. He had a 2.0 GPA ... four days later. That's what the Wolf indictment says. Pulley continued to take classes at Barton in 2002-03, receiving all A's except for one C in recreation leadership -- an impressive report card for someone who, according to the indictment, "did not attend any of the classes associated with these courses."
