During Saturdays game they had many Trivia questions about SLU on their message boards such as what 3 SLU coaches took teams to the NCAA Tourney. Whats a Billiken etc.

At a tip off meeting Cheryl said something like we could go to fox for something like $10,000 a game. I assume she meant that we would have sell that amount of advertising per game. Thats a lot of pasta and Lou Fusz cars. Like everything else you need to win to attract those numbers.

We lost early season games against teams that made a lot of uncontested 3's. These we're teams that a least on paper did not have a lot of inside strength. We would not have lost some of those games had we been able to extend our defense. I believe that ball pressure is very important and am happy that he's not wed to the pack defense.

Didn't you hear, the party is being catered by Emeril and Wolfgang Puck and music by Bono.

I spent lunch at the final 4 practice at the ED. Unbelievable. There must be 25,000 peple there. The lower bowl was filled,most people wearing orange. Hundreds of people outside trying to buy tickets to the games. People from as far away as California who don't have tickets who are here just for the hoopla. What a great thing for the city. If Cheryl had scalped SLU's tickets maybe we would have enough money to build our arena.

Our lead fund raiser needs to be Father Biondi. While the smaller gifts are needed this project will get done through 7 figure donations. Don Whelan[or his succesor and Cheryl Levick are not going to bring in too many of those donations. From what I hear Father Biondi is becoming involved and thats why I believe the building will be built sooner than later.

Inspite of what Lavin said I can't believe that Tubby is under any pressure. I know Ky. has high expectations but they went very far for a young team with a freshman point guard. They better hope that Tubby doesn't leave for the $$$ of the NBA.

I'm in the expectations business. When everybody is bullish the market is ready to slide. When everybody is pessimistic the market is ready to go up. I for one like all the negative talk about next year. Just the opposite of last year, and everyone's 20 win season picks. Keep the negativity coming.

I think we should no longer talk about past Billiken performance but only about future performance. We need to be positive about the future,we should not talk about the past. Hey if it works for Mark it will work for us.

Mrs.Willie and I consider that One of the best weekends of our life. The Friday after the game was glorious weatherwise making the Harbor a great place to hang out. There was a sports bar by the name of Balls which was a great place to watch the Friday games. The only bad memory was that Spoon stiffed a bunch of us in a restraunt after the Minn. game. He totally ignored about 10 of his bigger supporters.

Deadwood is really good. It takes a little time to get use to the language[which supposedly is historically acurate]but is very well done.

Don't forget Lee won the slam dunk contest at the McDonalds game. All I'm saying is let's just wait and see how good he really is. {there was talk of Lee being the first white kid to jump from highschool}

If your talking about the NBA I remember the same thing being said about David Lee. College is a whole new ballgame.

In the old days I would be happy if a non contributer would transfer but with the new graduation requirements you don't want to many people leaving. DC seems like a good kid, I hope he stays. I still think he can play[score] if he can earn some playing time.[

I'm not talking about the off the court Irons. Every year he puts out a team that plays his style with discipline. For the most part his kids stay out of trouble{while at Vashon]and are respectfull to him and his coaches. I agree with the statement that the fact that his players haven't gone on to great college careers is a credit to his coaching ability. He gets the most out of his players. He is a father figure to many of his players. Roy you are in the minority on this one. You may be a minority of one.
