  1. Congrats Thicks. As a season ticket holder you now have the right to ban Metzie.
  2. David I think you make some good points. The rose colored glass crowd point out that this is the best team we've had in years. Is it because of Brad's recruiting or is it just luck. I don't know the answer but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Are the last 2 classes shaping up to be disapointing.Yes. Does any of this really matter. No. It's all about wins and losses. If Brad wins then he will be our our coach for many years. If he losses then he will eventually be gone whether Suggs is on the team or Blake Ahearn. While I'm not like billikenguest aka father knows best,we fans overdo this recruiting thing. It's all about production and as long as that production is looking up I'm happy. If it's going down well thats another thing.
  3. Sorry I didn't ask. I agree Sat. will be a boot camp to get their attention and they don't want any viewers.
  4. I called down to the basketball office, Saturdays Practice is closed. They will open it up on Monday.
  5. I think you will see Brad try the twin towers a few games. He told me he would like to try it, but the problem is on the defensive side of the ball.If we play somebody with an inactive front court I think he'll try it.
  6. Rich that was another family member.Billie ????? I don't remember the exact story but it was in St. Louis and a couple of STLP shot out his tires. I believe they were narcotic cops. Bonwich could do a search for you.
  7. I knew Rich well and I agree he needed a rest. He was continually getting sick because he was run down. He had to put up with a lot of crap. There was very little support staff in those days. His biggest mistake was reaching on a couple of bad character recruits. After Upchurch he felt he had to reach to get over the top. In my opinion Rich was a great basketball coach who absolutely saved our program. In spite of some other comments I thought his X's and O's were very good. The man could design an out of bounds play with the best of them. All of this said it was time for him to go. If only Tony La Russa would go.
  8. No they cut it up into 2 holes. A fairly long and tough par 4 and a 150 yard par 3.Par 6?? It was more like a par 8 to me.
  9. This is not the old Forest Park you remember. Course has been completely redone into 3 separate 9's. I'ts a pretty good tract with some of the best scenery in town. And the girls on roller blades aren't bad either.
  10. I'm in. Gateway is about $65 with cart.Forest Park gets my vote because I live 2 min. away.
  11. He was once a neighbor of mine. One of my kids dog sat for him a few times. Nice guy,but I usually agree with the other side of his law suits.
  12. I missed Floyd having a heart attack. When did that happen? And what does DJ have to do with Floyd and defamation of character?
  13. Per conversation with Brad,"currently not good enough".
  14. The guy from west Virginia was Donnie Atkins. He was the star of mid-night madness. I think he later walked on at WV.
  15. I believe that Brad was a key member of this committee. I also believe that Joe Lunardi the braketology guy was involved. It's good to see that Bruno seems to be playing along.
  16. I don't know Box. Can you go to games being played in an arena named after a competitor?
  17. How many coaches have the womans team had? Jill. John O'Brien. Am I missing anyone?
  18. Monty may be the worst announcer in the history of radio. He knows nothing. I always thought Claiborne was the worst announcer in town, but I'm trilled at the prospect of listening to him driving home from Card games instead of Monty.
  19. I understand that Joe Lunardi[sp]from ESPN was consulted on the schedule and he gave it his blessing. This is the braketology guy.
  20. Louisville is my hometown and I've been to many a game at Freedom Hall. I disagree that it is a dump. There sightlines are very good. I sat in the second to last row in the end zone a couple of years ago for a Billiken game and was amazed at how well I could see. If you want to say the halls and ramp system was bad I would agree, but for a place that sits 19,000 the view is pretty good. The upper deck hangs near the court like the old Kiel. For a place build{I know it was remodeled} in the 50's its pretty damn good.
  21. He's probably vacationing in the Balkans.
