I think the biggest mistake that Brad had made this year is playing Luke at the 4.I believe the pack has been exposed because of our weakness inside. If our guards didn't sag so much to help we could stay further out. I would hope somebody on our coaching staff would breakdown our tape this summer to see if we we're as vulnerable from the 3ptline as many of us believe,and if we lost games because of that. Playing a bigger 4 also helps our rebounding which was average at best. What defense you give up by playing Polk less would be made up by the offense any sub would give you over Dwayne.

I don't know whats been previously said and don't have time to read whats above, but I think it's very important that we remain with Xavier-Dayton and possibly the 49ers. I think we are in the A10 to set up the next league whatever shape that league may take. If you go to the valley your stuck with those schools foreverI'd agree with Roy that we need to do a better job of spinning our current status. We will be in better shape to move to a new conference from the A10 then any other place. And we will be in a new conference. I don't know when but I can guarantee everyone there will be changes.

I was at a SLU function the other night and Donnigan was there representing the Athletic Dept. In his talk he said he had gotten a verbal from a high school junior. A 6-4 middle back. Didn't give a name-seemed real excited.

At theTip-Off meeting last night he said they run the Princeton Offense. A lot of screening-back door cuts etc. Their top 4 players are all freshmen. They have won 2 out of their last 4 games. Brad said he was scared to play them.

Might have been the lack of pressure from Dayton but we handled the ball very well. Tommies 6 assists vs 1 turnover is a very good stat. Bryce gives you a disruptive force in the middle. I was in my car last night driving home and had the Mike Anderson show on KFNS. Anderson was talking about some 6-8 JUCO player that was on campus. Unless Anderson runs someone off Powell is not going to get an offer from Missouri. That said I've got a bad feeling about Powell. If he wanted to be a Billiken he would have already been one.

Hey I am a fan of Oliver Stone. I think Tommie and Brad planned his being late. I thought Tommie had a smile on his face during introductions.

I think Rammer is safe but if I was Kevin Slaten I would watch out.

As much as I think Bryce should be playing more, next year is scary if we don't get a JUCO big man. I don't think there is anyway Bryce could play more then 20 min. per game. He will be a fouling machine. We will have to sign someone even if it's Sekue Berintine.

As bad as Ian has been he is still double teamed by everybody. He does open up the floor for our perimeter players. When Bryce or JJ are in the game they get single coverage. Brad is going to have to design a new offense next year or Tommie and Kevin will never get an open shot.

I sort of agree with your statement. Brad will surely get 1 more year. If his recruiting is poor but wins big with Kevin and Tommie the time clock gets extended.

Cinci. has not always been a basketball powerhouse. While they had many great years back in the Ed Junker days of the 60's they had some very tough years back in the Metro confrence days. Who was the guy Tonny Yates? and the guy Catlett? Those were not great teams. Huggins made them a power,not the school itself. I'm not so sure they are going to the top of the Big East any time soon.

I couldn't agree more. Bryce has given us great energy the last 2 games. By my count he has 5 blocks in very modest playing time. Maybe you play some kind of zone with Bryce guarding the basket. I agree with Thicks it's up to the coaches in how to figure it out.

This is not to be critical of Luke,but if he played the 3 he would not get the open shots he gets. The opponents 4 man would not be helping on Ian letting Luke the drifter get his open shots. That said Luke has been my best surprise. He's been far better than I expected.
