There is an easy resolution to all of this. Biondi announces his retirement. It would be good for all.

I agree that you can't compare an index with an endowment but I would also expect that sum to be larger after 5 years . I t works both ways. An endowment fund should not lose 30% in a 2008 . I think our performance has been poor.

Let's not get to carried away with all of the financials. I believe that our endowment was once 1 billion ,or very close to it. (2007 or 2008 ) Yes the market crashed but almost all indexes are higher now than then. I would hope we have net contributions in the last 5 years. I also believe we had a triple A bond rating a few years ago.

Agree on Mike, not so sure on Evans. While Rick was pretty adamant that Evans could be good I believe this board thought he was a throw in.

Don't know what it will be like with this administration but they have always been kid friendly in the past.

No but I don't think he ever said I don't like to recruit. I previously asked for first hand knowledge where he said he doesn't like to recruit and all I got was Box saying he read it. Not. to question Box for he is a fine man who works for a great company but He did not provide a link. Cheese in the above post is restating something that I don't believe ever occurred. I don't believe Crews ever said he didn't like or want to recruit.

I would like to point out that in Bernie's article today he quoted crews saying that he liked to recruit. According to this board Crews hated recruiting . As I tried to point out in an earlier thread I believed that to be one of those Internet things that takes on a life of it's own with no basis for fact. In any event whether he will bring in top recruits is yet to be seen but I'm sure we will see the effort.

If this is true it is just another example of why SLU will be better off the day Biondi is gone. He is no longer an effective administrator. He is simply an ego driven man who has been in a job too long who feels entitled to behave like a dictator. Please University Community keep up the fight to retire him.

I'm sorry but I just don't trust Biondi. I just don't understand why we officially don't have a coach. While everyone says it's going to happen it hasn't. I hope my fear is misguided but I just don't trust Biondi to be rational.
