cheeseman
Can someone tell me how to get the posts that I have already read to show a different color/highlight so when I look at it later I know which ones I have already read. Mine use to do that but for the last couple weeks all the posts show up as new/unread.
Major Majerus
Read'em again - they're all good stuff...:+
StlCardinal
If you're using Internet Explorer, try going to Tools>Internet Options. Under the General tab, click on the "Colors..." button, and you will be able to set the colors used for visited and unvisited links. Make sure that those colors are different, whatever you choose. If you're using Firefox (which I highly recommend!), go to Tools>Options, and there is a "Fonts and Colors" button under the General tab as well, which allows you to adjust the same thing. This might not be the problem, but it's worth checking. Let me know if this does the trick.

Billiken Rich
Look at each post individually and make sure your history stays for a while. The "new post" feature of this board software is flakey as heck.
NashvilleBilliken
Are you on your work computer? They may have it locked down for security purposes. Sounds like the machine is not retaining your cookies and internet history.
Billikenbooster
I haven't had the 'new post' feature on either my home or work computer for a year. thought it was gone with the latest configuration of the Board. If anyone can get that fixed centrally or tell me what to do on my machines, it would be Greatly Appreciated. mhg
Billiken Rich
It SOMETIMES works if you click on the first post of a string and only then hit view all. It's still flakey, on Internet explorer anyway.
cheeseman
I am using my home computer. I will check the history thing.
cheeseman
The history setting was the key - I changed it and now it works. Thanks
