Actually he has made the post-season I believe 5 times in 7 years including Regional Semifinals one season...and only Eddie Fogler has had more success in the history of Vandy Hoops, including Jan Van Breda Kolf, C.M. Newton and well before them.

Vandy doesn't have the commitment to winning athletics, is a top 20 academic school, ...the University President wanted to dismantle the Athletic dept altogether...recently canceled men's soccer program.....And oh btw, the conference is one of toughest in America. He actually has strong recruits for next year. This year's team is a NIT caliber team, with one superstar on it.

>sorry, stallings isnt the answer.

Yeah and those conferences are so similar in levels of competition. Some of those NIT Vandy teams would have been NCAA teams in most other conferences not named SEC.

Long term Romar would have recruited and had success. Would Stalling have done better than BS, yes. Better than Romar, probably not.

Why would he leave SMU for SLU???? Short answer he wouldn't.

He would like to have success there and hope for a solid big conference job. He'll never get a dream job again, but if he has success can at a big conference.

He btw lost his job for losing control of program yes, ...but he came in, fired long time assistants, fired long time secretaries claiming they did no work, ...had an anger mgmt and control problem, everyone turned against him.
