Let the record reflect that SLU92 did not make this about AD Chris May, that was Billiken Roy and Hoosier Bot.

However, since they brought it up. What can SLU92 bish about?

How about we see one nice post-game highlight on Social Media, and we fawn over it? Almost every other school does that every game? Yeah, there's software and people that can do that kinda stuff fast, and it's marketing.  It's easy to do and we don't even do it.

How about just consistently getting game start times right. Or never getting them wrong.

Has SLU put out any info on how they plan to navigate the changes in the college sports landscape?  Or just a statement?  University of Texas and others did months ago.  If only to say here's the current landscape, more changes are expected and we at SLU plan to be competitive.  Something. Maybe even a radio interview? A little insight that the school and conference is working on it. Nothing.

NIL Collective still needs work. Have they had any events, tweets, emails? I've gotten nothing. Anyone else?

Legit post.

slu92 is over the top some days but posts are very spot on and this person obviously has knowledge and seems to really care enough to try and convince other posters. Might want to focus on the message more than the messenger. The A_Bomb too, like this post is spot on, amongst others. Just my two cents. Cheers!

Well, well, well, in Stu's latest, AD Chris May puts out some information on SLU's way ahead after the court ruling.  SLU will do direct revenue sharing.

Just my interpretation but I don't think May realizes that a strong NIL game will still be necessary. A niaive view would be that this does away with the need for collectives. I don't think so, some programs will do anything to win.  So I expect revenue sharing and NIL to both be a part of players incentives.

Think of it this way, coaches have always gotten salaries but there's always been coach NIL tie ins that sweeten the pot ( even at SLU).

Buckle up.

Following up I think this solves one of the major problems of the collective. Tax Deductibility. I still itemize. So when I give money to the program which should I give to?  The Billiken Club and get a tax deduction or the collective and I don’t.

I'm certainly not a tax person, but perhaps a creative solution is that the Billiken Club creates a way to donate to the Billiken Club with the understanding that it will then turn around and donate equivalent funds to the NIL Collective.

EDIT: New info in another thread makes this point moot.
