ACE
I'm sure many of you have seen this: http://blogs.riverfronttimes.com/gutcheck/2012/12/rick_majerus_6_favorite_st_louis_restaurants_foods.php I went to LoRusso's last night and ordered the "Cioppino Majerus"..... it was exceptional. A portion of the meal cost went to the Majerus Foundation Adrianna's was another one he used to talk up a lot. I enjoyed his restaurant scouting reports. Just like when he was talking about basketball... passionate and detailed breakdowns. One time he was ripping the Mexican restaurant near campus... about halfway through he catches himself and says, I hope they aren't a sponsor of this station or Billiken athletics, and then he proceeds to rip them some more. I believe that place is out of business now.
brianstl
Never been to Herbie's. How is it? Is it basically the old Balabans renamed?
jbizzle09
Another restaurant he dug a lot is Scape. I believe it's because he could walk over there from the Chase.
thetorch
Another restaurant he dug a lot is Scape. I believe it's because he could walk over there from the Chase. And because Scape is excellent.
saluki762
Never been to Herbie's. How is it? Is it basically the old Balabans renamed? I worked at the old Balabans while a student. Went to Herbie's last year and was disappointed. It was good but it wasn't Balabans.
hsmith19
The Iggy's on campus was pretty awful. Diablito's moved in after they closed and is much better.
almaman
Herbie's is a little different than Balabans was but is still good food IMHO. They're the same folks who owned Monarch's that was in Maplewood.
