thetorch
A10 is 5-0 today. Butler definitely making the case on the court to be included in any new conference.
slu72
No doubt, Butler is a strong candidate. Make that very strong. The Beast 7 isn't about religious affiliations it's about strength of the program.
Taj79
If Butler plays they they did today for the rest of the year, they are indeed the team to beat in the A10. I though they had no chance in the overtime w/o Jones and Smith.

slu72
Butler's very physical underneath and can pop the 3 ball. Crean said they're one of the most physical teams IU faces every year. That says a lot given IU plays in the rough and ready B10. When we play them guys like CE and RL are going to have to forget they're foreigners. DoctorB
I watched the whole game. It was March Madness atmosphere, in one of America's great basketball venues, the Fieldhouse, so both teams had lots of fans. Indiana is stacked with talent but they allowed Butler to set the pace most of the game. Butler is so well coached it makes me very jealous, since Stevens should be around for another 40 years, or at least till Crean retires (25 years). Butler is so physical but those players do not look it; but really what stands out is the incredible heart of this team, surely the stamp of the coach, which we have seen in the tournaments. Gutsy; they really had lost the game twice, but just would not give up. I can't wait to see how they play on the road in the A10, because based on yesterday, that coach will not allow them to lose many games. They have scrappy guards who can shoot the rock, and they won in overtime without the big beef up front. This is why I love basketball. I'm really looking forward to Jan. 31, which is probably our marquee game for the rest of the year, including NM. Butler is obviously a top 25 team!
