SpartanBilliken
ESPN Analyst Updated 04/25/2011 Strengths: Curington is a long and athletic wing that has a knack to score the ball. He can finish above the rim on the break when ahead of the transition defense or spot up for an open three and benefit from a teammates dribble penetration. In the half court Curington can hit the open jumper off the catch or dribble and has the ability to shoot over smaller defenders with his one or two dribble mid range rhythm pull up. Curington is a coachable player that loves to play the game and does a great of taking what the defense gives him. Curington has great upside and will only get better as he continues to develop in the Oak Hill program. Weaknesses: Curington has good length but must add strength which should come with added time in the weight room and as he matures. He also must continue to improve his individual and team defense because he is capable of being a defender that could be assigned to guard either wing position because of his size and being a pretty good athlete. Other areas that would help Curington take his game to the next level is he could be more productive on the glass. He is a decent rebounder but has the ability to be much better. Finally if he could add the ball handling to beat his defender off the dribble his scoring would increase immediately. He is a good straight line rhythm driver now but this would add the ability to create his own shot. Bottom Line: Curington is a shooting guard that is a very good scorer with rage to the arc. He has good length and athletic ability to finish on the break and over smaller defenders with his jumper. He must add strength and continue to build his game but has tremendous upside. slu72
Impressive video. And Oak Hill's nothing to sneeze at either.
WVBilliken
Wow, he sure has a long list of interested schools listed on Rivals. RM gets really good under the radar players then makes them into very good players. Just think what RM could do with more highly recruited kids. This kid is rated a 3 star by rivals and is getting looks and offers from a few Big East and ACC schools along with many mid-major offers/interest. You can never have too many 6'5" athletic shooting guards/forwards. Hope we get him along with two bigs this year. Any other player on Oak Hill's team we might want? A package deal with Curington and a big would be great.
