majerus mojo
No. 9 Saint Louis over No. 8 Memphis: Memphis was under-seeded, and the selection committee did the Tigers no favors with Saint Louis from a matchup perspective. Saint Louis is able to slow teams down and can take care of the ball. Memphis has to defend and rebound to get out and run, but the Billikens don't give up the ball easily. This is a matchup win for Saint Louis, and a committee loss for Memphis. - Jay Bilas Take some Kool-Aid and pass it around, BEAT MEMPHIS, & let's throw the kitchen sink at Mich. Pistol
I was there for his putback dunk vs. Xavier. I've never seen a putback dunk with such quick movement. He got a standing O from the visiting Xavier section.
Pistol
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/tournament/2012/story/_/id/7675953/west-region-breakdown-2012-ncaa-tournament "9. Is there a better No. 8 versus No. 9 game in the bracket? From an adjusted efficiency standpoint, I can't find it. Per KenPom.com -- which tracks and projects (among other things) how many points per possession teams score and allow against an average team -- Memphis and Saint Louis rank No. 9 and No. 15 overall as of Sunday night. For as scary as Memphis as a No. 8 seed might be, Saint Louis is hardly less frightening on the No. 9 line. Put them together, and it seems clear that whomever Michigan State meets in the second round, it will have a legitimate early test on its hands." dlarry
they really should... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjR1RFG35X8 Those are pretty nice but Kwamain Mitchell is up for two handed chest pass of the year. Dewayne Evans is up for finger role of the year. Kyle Cassity is up for fundamentaly sound bounce pass of the year.
