It's time KC

In some regards KC will be a key to this team having the success we all expect this season. A four year guy who's certainly had his up and down moments here at SLU. No doubt he's consistently done a good job in running the offense and being careful with the ball. He's a heady guy who knows the value of playing good D. But for us to make that big leap forward he's got to do more this year. First he's an RM favorite and will log 20-25 mpg because he has the most experience of all our guards.. But he has to be a little more productive with the minutes he gets scoring wise. Like many others on here, I'm sure we'd like to see McCall and Jett leap frog him and reduce his minutes, but it's not gonna happen unless KC goes right in the toilet. We've seen what D's do when he's on the floor, ie leave him alone and double up on KM or clog the inside. What's perplexing about KC is that he's shown the ability to take a guy off the dribble and go in for a layup and at times can hit from the outside. He just doesn't do it enough. The point here being if RM's going to grant him that many minutes he's got to do something with them more than pass up open shots and playing timid.

KC just needs to play smart. Take the open shot. If it's not falling, drive and kick to guys who can make them. That's his game.

He had a lot of dreadful shooting games last year. If he's shooting poorly his minutes have to be cut, period. Whoever takes his minutes will need to match his defensive intensity, cause that's just how RM rolls.

I'm sorry this is way off base. KC is not a scorer. He's a silent leader who works hard, takes his shots when they come to him and doesn't lose games with turnovers. As duff man said all he needs to do is focus on letting the game come to him. He wasn't able to do that last year, this year I think you'll see him relaxed and improved.
