NashvilleBilliken
Saw this posted on the A-10 board. We're pretty far down the list at number 12 (including the Eckerle signing). That has GOT to improve. Suprise of the conference, Duquesne at number at the #1 spot. Even more suprising is they're listed as number 25 in the NATION. That's damn impressive. http://collegehoopsupdate.com/html/recruit...8_a10.php#top25

billiken_roy
keep in mind that the recruiting "guru's" have no clue how good mitchell and eckerle are. i am not saying they are good, but our "rankings" are without a doubt a shot in the dark guess. p diddy
do not sleep on duquesne. the new coach brought in a lot of talent last year, including the guys that got shot, plus the two stud transfers, the guard and the big man. everhart has been successful wherever he's been because he can recruit. bad boyz for life
slu72
He's got to be a hell of a recruiter to get kids to go to DU and play in a high school gym.

The gurus are not perfect, but more often than not, you want players that the gurus know about. Sure, you can always point to good players that the gurus overlooked, but I'd feel much better making it a practice of landing players that are known. kshoe
The general consensus of this board when we sign some player that gets no stars or isn't in the top 300 is that the gurus suck or don't know about this player for reasons A, B, C or D... Then when we land a stud like Thompson and everybody on here is reporting his ranking like its the absolute truth. The board's policy toward the gurus can best be summarized as "fiction if they don't like our guys, but fact if they are ranked highly."
