OT: Cusumano's Tribute to his Dad

Recommended Posts

Back in the 70's boosters actually helped in the recruiting process. I was fresh out of graduate school with a decent job and was friendly with Roy's favorite coach Ron Ekker. We were recruiting Wallace Robinson at the time, and Ekker asked me to take him to lunch at Kemoll's. Mr. Cusumano was our host, and was just tremendous. He sat down with us, mostly talking about the great food we were being served. It was a great couple of hours. In the early days of the golf tournament there was a pre party the night before. You could always count on Kemoll's for bring several dishes to be served. A true gentleman and great Billiken fan.

even more inspiring is the fact that years later mr cusumano wrote that man a check no questions asked to help a man down on his luck. how many of us are that strong and could "turn the other cheek" in that instance?

frank's essay should be required reading.
