NashvilleBilliken
I'm glad to hear this was finally made official. I don't know much about the guy, but it seems like a real solid pick up for an assistant. D-1 head coaching experience. A win percentage over 50. Top recruits in the MVC. I'll take it. billiken_roy
it seems like from everything i read about moser, that illinois state was his only negative adventure. he has been a success everywhere else and has worked with majerus before as well as tony barone. so there is some nice background. it also sounds like recruiting is his real forte thus asst coach might be great for him. hey if majerus wants him. rick's history shows we shouldnt question his judgement. that guady win loss record says he knows what he has to do and who he needs to surround himself with. courtside
Porter Moser worked with Ric Cobb and Sidney Moncrief, both close friends of Majerus....and w Tony Barone. Barone's son Brian played a couple of years at Marquette after transferring.

slu72
I like the choice. First, we get an AC who has HC experience. Second, a proven recruiter of our primary markets. Third, young guy who now gets to learn at the foot of a master. Given RM's health concerns, this was a good move on a lot of fronts. Can't speak to why he didn't win at IS. Maybe he just needed a little more seasoning, and the MVC was a tough place to win during his tenure. Hopefully, he's handed the reigns in 4 or 5 years and the expected success under RM continues at SLU under PM. Good get from all appearances. Indeed a new day for SLU basketball.
