  1. That’s on Weaver. He could have just taken it himself. His pass gave Yuri nowhere to go.
  2. Somebody needs to walk over to TJ and just tell him to slow down. His hustle is there, he’s just rushing.
  3. We just have so much more energy, more life. J-Good jumpstarting us on the defensive end stealing the opening inbounds pass of the 2nd half! Let’s go!
  4. Take care of the ball. Crash the glass. Stop fouling. We win by double digits.
  5. Like Stuart Scott and Scott Van Pelt in that “This Is Sportscenter” commercial (back when those commercials were actually clever).
  6. That was a walk, but not a charge. I’ll take it though. I’lol take that J-Good put back as well.
  7. We just gotta take care of the ball (and play inside out to Perkins).
  8. I thought it was funny. I good posted you.
  9. He came in with an injury. He could be a stud next year. He could be a bust. None of us have any idea what kind of contribution he will bring going forward, but my thought process is that there’s a reason Ford recruited him. The fact of the matter is, he came with an injury and has been playing catch-up ever since. To assume anything about the kid right now would just be absolute blind guessing.
  10. Whenever somebody mentions ballet, I automatically think of that scene in The Other Guys where Will Ferrell asks Mark Wahlberg, “You learned ballet sarcastically?”
  11. I’m just going to put this out there and nominate Jimmy Bell’s and-1 for play of the year. It was absolutely massive! Helluva win! Go Bills!
  12. Explorers up 17, under 12 minutes left. Bonnies look totally lost right now.
  13. Absolutely. I just think he passes up opportunities sometime, but again, it’s completely understandable. He’s improved SIGNIFICANTLY over the past year. I fully expect he will do the same next year. And if he does, we’re gonna he a scary dangerous team.
  14. I think part of the problem there is he’s very 1 dimensional a lot of the time, but I think a lot of that is due to him defer to his teammates. He’s quick and athletic enough to take defenders off the dribble, but he rarely does...and when he does, it often results in an incredible dunk. If he can keep defenders off balance with even an occasional drive to the bucket, it won’t matter if his release is a little slower. But when defenders can just sit on his 3-point shot obviously, having a slow release can be a problem. I’d love to see him hunting for shots more. Not being selfish, but when he sees an opening, he takes it.
  15. This is my constructive criticism of Jacobs, it’s just my personal opinion based off of watching games this year. I think he lacks confidence. When I say that, I don’t mean that he lacks confidence in his own skills necessarily, but that he isn’t ready to really take over a game. I think he defaults too much to other guys (Has, JGood, Perkins). He’s not quite to the point where he’s looking to go find his shot. And I think a lot of that is justified. This is essentially year 1A for him, and Has and JGood are obviously the leaders on this team. I think that’s part of the reason Ford gets on him so much, because he knows what’s in there, and he’s trying to find a way to bring it out. I’ve never had a problem with Jacobs’ effort, he just needs to be more aggressive. But he’s eventually gonna find it and when he does, just imagine this team with all the options we already have, Thatch and Jimerson coming back, and all of a sudden Jacobs is firing on all cylinders. Look out A10.
  16. In the current format, players still have the right to transfer, they just have to sit out a year. There are consequences to every action. Sometimes kids need to be saved from themselves. It sometimes, quite literally, pains me to think about some of the horrible decisions I made as a 18-23 year old college kid, without any outside false promises of glory and riches. Yes, in a perfect world, coaches, boosters, et al, would never recruit a kid with malice or deceit, those promises would never be too good to be true, and college kids would be mature enough to see through it all to make rational decisions about what’s best for their future. But we don’t live in a perfect world, and I’d be willing to bet these rule changes will end up hurting just as many student-athletes as it helps.
  17. I understand and my post wasn’t meant to be taken that literally. There are games when Has deserves more of a break than he’s gotten. Do I hope he gets less minutes against Dayton or Richmond next year? No. Do I hope he gets less minutes against Fordham next year? Yes. Jimmy Bell’s improvements will play a big part in that.
  18. I’d actually like to see French’s minutes cut at least a little bit next year...not as a punishment, but as a reward. I know he’s a warrior and he’d play every minute of every game if he could, but how nice would it be for French’s sake if Jimmy Bell could be relied upon to carry the load inside so Has can play 32 minutes instead of 37 or 38. Those minutes add up over a long season. I have as much faith as anybody that Jimmy will improve significantly by the start of next year (I also think Diarra is going to contribute) and Has will be all the better for it. Again, this isn’t a slight on French at all, quite the opposite. He works so hard, he deserves more of a breather than he’s gotten.
  19. He’s a freshman. He’s a freshman and he’s number 1 in the nation among freshmen in assists. He’s a freshman and he’s playing 35 minutes a game for 20+ win team. It’s unrealistic to expect him to be a complete all-around player at this point in his career. He will be a better player next year than he was this year, especially when his hands/wrists are back to 100%. Cut the kid some slack.
  20. Agreed. We shot well. We played great D. Seems like almost every shot they took was contested. Keep that up and just cut out the lazy/stupid passes and we win by 20+.
  21. I've been in that situation before myself. That being said, find it highly unlikely he would transfer. Especially now, when he's missed half the season.
  22. Is Dr. Holly Hills a troll? It's so hard for me to keep track.
