  1. They did they same thing last year, bringing him in for the semis.
  2. Rad Scare lost to Golden Eagles. Overseas Elite is playing Sideline Cancer right now on ESPN.
  3. I’m also skeptical any of these sports leagues will be able to finish their seasons in the near term. Even if they resume, which isn’t a given with the current state of affairs, will they really keep plowing on if there’s a huge outbreak with one or two teams?
  4. Agreed. YouTube TV is the best streaming TV service offered right now IMO. I've tried most of them, including spending a lot of time on Sling due to its offering of NFL Red Zone, but YouTube TV is far superior.

  6. I don't, but I have spoken to someone who knows the family.
  7. 1.) Larry is a big-time supporter of the program, both in public and private. 2.) Your interpretation of Jr.'s comment about SLU is possibly the most negative interpretation possible. He's seriously interested in attending SLU. 3.) Sure, Sr. might have attended elsewhere if not for the circumstances, but the reality is he attended SLU and is thankful he did. 4.) The advantage is real, whether it ends up paying off or not. Aside from Sr. playing here, Jr. grew up a Bills fan like many of the high-level local recruits on our current roster.
  8. So many humorous pieces to this post. Ranting about how someone was as a middle schooler is almost as bad as saying a future NBA player wasn’t that good.
  9. Everything I’ve heard indicates he’ll be an NBA head coach sooner rather than later.
  10. He was good enough at this level (role player), and likely would’ve been a significant contributor if he remained.
  11. It seems pretty obvious to be category #2.
  12. Not really. He has a public-facing role for the University and posters on here point out case-after-case of poor performance. Should the AD verify the poor performance before making a change? Of course.
  13. It’s truly amazing the SLU Athletic Department could continue reading consensus complaints (and they do read the board) about Guy and not do a damn thing about it. It speaks volumes.
  14. Basically agree with everything here. Remember, Jett wasn’t that guy on offense until his senior year.
  15. Jett had a good career, but his legend is disproportionately weighted toward his season year. Before that, he was largely an offensive role player and defensive specialist (and a great one at that). Goodwin will end up with similar accolades and FAR superior numbers. As of today, with Goodwin having played 41 less games than Jett, Goodwin has 358 more rebounds, 8 more steals, 83 less points, and 99 less assists. The only counting category they will end up remotely close in is assists. A lot of people neglect how great Goodwin has been through 3 season.
  16. A few NCAA tournament trips in a row will not bring us to #3 on that list in the immediate future. As you alluded to in your post, those other schools have been stacking success for decades.
  17. If not, we should. His family situation could keep him close to the area (he moved to Springfield because his brother was playing at Missouri State).
  18. Let's bookmark this thread and come back to it in March. I'll wager a cold one at Chaifetz that we don't see a statistically significant increase in jumpers taken or made by French.
  19. Edit: Deleting since off-topic. It's a fascinating question, and those interested can google it to read on their own.
  20. He is a bad at free throws during live game situations, just like he is bad at jumpers during live game situations. And that's okay! Frankly, we have zero need for him to develop a jumper, although I would be ecstatic for him if he were able to do so.
  21. When you are that bad of a shooter there is a mental component no matter where you are on the floor. Add in a defender during the run of play, and the odds of him developing a reliable jumpier for next season are incredibly low. You’re fooling yourself if you believe otherwise.
  22. Correct. One is more challenging. Hasahn shoots 33% at the least challenging of the two.
