I think porter would be an upgrade from ford, but keep in mind it did take him some time to get it going in Chicago. First four years were pretty mediocre.

Said in a previous post, but the NIT doesn’t move the needle for me. Only post season is ncaa tourney. And with the expanded field in recent years, it’s sad we can’t get there.
ford will continue to roll out the same players he has because he thinks they are the ones that will give him the best chance of winning and he is playing for regular season wins right now. Not to develop players.

Dayton could have won by 30 if they wanted to.
we are a defensively and mentally weak team. As well as poorly coached.

That game was almost as tough to watch as the halftime baseball team dance sequence. Mental lapses, no movement, “hero ball” in crunch time. Also, the basketball was really bad.

Why does he continue to play jimerson almost every minute of every game. Dude gets tired late in games and is not as effective making 3s. And he’s a sh*ty defender anyway…. I just don’t get it.

Just terrible execution down the stretch.. I haven’t seen a collapse like that since… the last time we played…
what a disappointing year. Even if by some miracle we win the A10 and go to NCAA, I still don’t think I could shake the ptsd from this regular season.

Not making any excuses for ford, but I watch a lot of college bball. And a big part of some of better offenses is creating mismatches and allowing scorers to take their man one on one and score. Perk and certainly picket were not able to do that last night. So many missed mid range shots.
that being said, with fordham playing so far out and not much help defense, run a damn back screen.. cheese and rice!!!

He can coach, but he’s a drama queen kook. I’m surprised he gets kids to play for him this day and age. The ranting and stomping around with a snarled face like he’s Billy bad a$$ would get old real quick.

Speaking for myself, I stand by my statement that I have serious concerns with how ford has constructed rosters and coached these last 4-5 years.
glad we are winning now, but We haven’t played VCU or Dayton yet.
we haven’t beat Davidson in four years, although they are much weaker this year.
