I don’t see a big pay day for the ncaa to standardize one brand of ball to use. Therefore they probably have no interest in doing so. NCAA = the biggest, toothless dog on the block.

Maybe Jordaire should have given the ball back immediately, but either way, it was a gross over reaction by Grant. The refs were standing right there and didn’t do anything about jordaire because there was nothing to do. He never left his seat, and was barely talking sh*t. Only reason he was escorted out were at the demands of Dayton coaching staff.

Any post game podcasts or re-air with rammer? I want to bask in this a little while longer..

Incredible game. Great team win. Traffic was ridiculous. Lots of cars getting stuck in the snow. That may have been why it didn’t look packed on tv early.

When’s the last time we beat Dayton? It’s been a couple of years…

Late turnovers are a problem, yes. But I saw uab make bucket after bucket, and watched auburn do the same.. granted most were ally-oops to a 7 footer… Just playing devils advocate with Perkins coming back. We will still need the strong athletic types like thatch and Hargrove for all the grit and grind.

If Perkins comes back and plays significant minutes, who is going to guard the opposing team’s #1 (usually a shooting guard or small forward)? Perkins is not a slouch on defense, but he is no Thatch. 4 out of our 6 loses were because we couldn’t stop the other team from scoring down the stretch.

Eastern Illinois… they just have Perk’s number.

I really liked ford’s rotations in the first half. I think it was the difference between us being tired and them being exhausted in the OTs. Having other ball handlers in certain spots besides yuri so he could finish strong. i really liked Yuri’s game. I really liked the rest of the team’s grit. Nesbit, thatch, etc. I really DISliked the oxygen in the lungs of the referees. dayton looks like they got it going.. round 2 this weekend!

It seems like we are going to have a traffic jam at the wing positions again next year. But IMO I don’t think Perkins comes back. And kids always decide to move on. Also, Fred is like 35 , right? Just kidding.

I always think we are going to crush the conference each year, but this is when reality starts to set in…

I was thinking the same thing. They sound like solid guys that could play if the continue to develop. But judging from the disappointing seasons we’ve had the last couple of years. We need 9 star recruits

We are just an average team. That simple. Consistently inconsistent. We will probably win by double digits but we are not incapable of losing to fordham at home.

If yuri struggles with longer, physical guard defenders, Jones really does. He’s a good little point guard with a great 3 point shot, but he is really undersized. Probably why he came from central Arkansas and not Arkansas, if ya know what I mean.
