  3. We waited on posting this due to the busy day in sports and television, but now it is here:

Big news coming sometime tomorrow, and more announcements hopefully on the way eventually.

  4. Here's some random after season thoughts from me (Collin) with some quotes from Zac about the Billikens and the importance of Travis Ford to this program in a league full of change. View down below:
"We will have frustration next year, there is no doubt about that. We will have learning curves to get past, as every team does. But under the leadership of Travis Ford, we hopefully won't have a problem buying in to the program and the university, but most importantly the team."

The morning was slow four 1-2 pound bass one was probably closer to 3 pounds. About average size for the lake. In the afternoon I found a crappie hole and went to town. Caught one after anothe for about an hour.

Plan yourself another trip and get ready for part two next Sunday!

In order to provide a genuine account of some stories in the Billiken experience we recount, we encourage our guests to be honest and be themselves in a matter that is authentic. In that spirit, some strong language was used during both parts of this podcast, and so we put the explicit label on these two episodes. Part two out next Sunday. Thanks for following guys.

Luckily it wasn't all live and in person and then following Rammer would've actually been intimidating. I listened last night. Rammer's segment was awesome. You guys did a great job going through the schedule and breaking it down. You did make reference at one point to something Rammer said in your call with him, though, and having not heard it yet, I wasn't aware.

Can't wait to hear those two interviews. Drejaj and I overlapped for three seasons so that one in particular will be fun for me.

I think you will be pleased with the Drejaj Interview. Another interview ran 2 hours plus. High quality content.

  8. Episode 21: Season Recap, with Rammer and @Pistol

    - Recap the season with Rammer

    - Talk recruiting class with @Pistol

This is a long one, about 2 hours. Thank you to everyone who has been following, Cody Ellis interview part one is on Sunday.

I'll probably shoot some video at the pregame party and before the game. Collin isn't on the trip.

Keep an eye on the local news.

I'll be doing some video from the watch party as well. Anything that either of us records will come out in some video form after the fact. It may not be a "vlog" but it will be close.

  11. Round of 62 Episode:

    - Preview Virginia Tech

    - Interview Ross Chaifetz

    - Interview SLUnatics Matt Mosley and Andrew Rettig

    - Talk with Bo Pamatot about the trip to Brooklyn

If you are in St. Louis, or watching from home, Collin will be running a live show pregame starting around 8 PM from the Fieldhouse in St. Louis, so check that out as well.

Ah geez. You reaaaaally missed the boat on that one.  Go back and read.......oh just forget it.  If you didn't catch it the first time you won't the second

Ya I see my stupidity in the joke now. Still think the bulk of what I said stands. Irregardless, we have to find a guy who's willing to listen to us, and come play for us. There are some great JUCO transfers out there, but some of them wouldn't give us the time of the day, and so we would be wasting time on them when we could be spending time on young guys willing to commit to the program for 4 years. Thats all that I was really trying to get at, misread it as you saying you wanted us to go after Zion in a sarcastic tone. Village idiot for the day.

Guys like Isabel do fall from the sky 05, it’s just that we aren’t expected to sign any of them until Isabel this year.

Teams like Kansas, Duke, Kentucky know that they can always grab a solid grad transfer after April if they have a low roster because some players always had those as dream schools.

trust me if we look at last years pick ups, there was plenty of top talent to pick up.

Shame Reynolds didn’t come back to SLU

Interesting thing with this conversation about recruiting is the fact that I've always heard people speak on Travis Ford as a great recruiter, so why couldn't he recruit some big transfer names. And while I think we could all agree he has gotten some good transfers,  I bet we would love to see another upperclassmen come in to solidify our roster along with adding depth so we can stop talking about SLU being short handed every year. Are we expecting too much out of Travis Ford? Is he underperforming? Have to again remember Bess, Foreman, and Isabell all were transfers who turned out to be great, or at least Bess and Isabell of late have been great.

Where would you guys rate Travis Ford's recruiting thus far in his tenure with SLU?

You are wordsmithing.  Perhaps we have differenet standards.  What is high for me, unreasonable for you.  I want the best (NCAA compliant) team possible.  Keep recruiting at the highest level.  Pick up that diamond in the rough who blew up his senior season.  Coaches are getting fired.  There are a number of decommits coming up.  Grab the best one of them.  There are bunch of transfers coming up.  Evaluate them and cherry pick the best.  There are Graduate Transfers coming.  See if one fits our system.  Always opportunities.  High for me, unreasonable for you?

I would say it's pretty unreasonable to use Zion Williamson as your example to begin this. Had you said someone like Isabell which came up later, I would consider that a reasonably high expectation. Saying we should want to get Zion is just ludicrous, not because we wouldn't love to have him, but because we'd rather build a team of 4 year guys that develop into great players because they would actually take our call. The issue with looking for these transfers and the high level players that you are talking about is the possibility that you overlook or undervalue guys who can develop into good/great players.
